YAY, I got my new Verve! I was debating which set to get, then I just decided to get the whole new release : ) I can't resist my Verve lol! I made this for today's Color Challenge on SCS and for this week's Mojo Monday sketch. The CC was to use Real Red, Old Olive, and Basic Black. I stamped the floral sprig from the set Because of You with Old Olive. I stamped the individual flowers with Memento Tuxedo Black, and colored them in with the red. I stamped the butterfly from the set Beautiful Kindness onto some dp from SU Summer Picnic DSP. I added some stitching, and some paper piercing and it was pretty much complete! Thank you so much for stopping by!

Digiments DT Call

12:34 PM 5 Comments
So my blogging buddy Michelle has decided to start her own digital sentiments company and she's calling it Digiments. Pretty clever, huh? She's holding a design team call so I thought I would apply : ) This is the sentiment she sent me. I printed it and cut it out with my Nestabilities Labels Four. I used my leaf stamp from the SU Great Friend set to add the Cameo Coral leaves. I also sponged some Cameo Coral around the panel. I used dp from Making Memories Flower Patch and I paired it with So Saffron and Cameo Coral cs. For accessories, I added a straight stitch with my sewing machine, So Saffron ribbon, Kaiser Pearls, BossKut flourish die, a lacey border made with my Martha Stewart Doily Border Punch, and added some texture to the Cameo Coral panel with my Swiss Dots CB Folder. Hopefully she'll like it and thank you so much for stopping by today!

White, White, White!

4:01 PM 12 Comments
Today's Ways to Use It Challenge on SCS was to use white : ) We got bonus points if we used white embellishments or if the embellishment started off white~but I didn't get the bonus hehe. I used this sweet image from Great Impressions called Pull Toys. I colored it with Copics and cut it out using Long Rectangle Nestabilities. I popped it up on foam squares over a Swiss Dots CB background and added the bow and button. Very CAS! The sentiment is from SU Short & Sweet. Just an FYI if you didn't know~stamp your sentiment first, then run it through the embossing folder : ) Thank you so much for stopping by, and have a wonderful evening!

Cute Cards : )

4:05 PM 9 Comments
Hello and Happy Earth Day! I made this first card for our Fun-Frilled Challenge this week to use scraps on our cards or use the color green and for this week's A Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge which is where I got the layout. I decided to use this cute image from Rachelle Anne Miller called Springtime Lily. I stamped her twice, colored her with Copics and cut out the flowers and butterfly so I could pop those up on Dimensionals. I added the Prima flowers and Kaiser pearls, along with a flourish cut out with a BossKut die. The dp is from Making Memories Chloe's Closet, and I paired that with Kiwi Kiss, Brocade Blue and So Saffron cs.
This next card is for today's sketch challenge on SCS. I used this adorable image that I received in a Whipper Snapper image swap : ) I had two of them, so I colored them in with Copics, cut one of the turtles out and popped it up on the other one. I added Stickles to the frosting and his hat. The sentiment comes from Verve's Wonderful Wishes, and I cut that out with my Spellbinders Tag Trio. I sponged it with Certainly Celery. The dp is My Mind's Eye Bloom & Grow and I used Pumpkin Pie and Certainly Celery cs. I hope you like my cute cards, and thank you so much for stopping by!

Busy Week!

3:27 PM 7 Comments
WOW! Talk about a busy week! From events at the kid's school, to my MOPS group, to parent teacher conferences, a Stampin' Up party, a new release and blog hop for Artful INKables, trying to finish my sister's Cinco de Mayo invites, plus, I've been so hooked on wanting to read my Twilight books (I'm on the 3rd one) and I've hardly had the time! Anyhow, we're leaving tonight for Jacksonville to visit my parents for the weekend, so I wanted to get these posted quickly before I packed! The first card is one I made for our Fun-Frilled challenge this week to make a Bridal Shower card. I used this awesome gift stamp from Artful INKables Birthday Best set, and paper pieced it with SU Bella Bleu DSP. I just think it's so elegant, don't you? I used this week's layout from Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge. Sorry I don't have time to do all the links and stuff, but I'll do that when we get back : )
These next three cards I made for the Verve Release Challenges that are going on. Julee designed 3 sketches for us to follow, and a color challenge. I still have to make my CC card, but here are the sketch cards. I used 3 Verve sets for each one, Beautiful Kindness, Miracles Blossom, and Grateful Elegance. I stuck with the same color scheme~Basic Gray, Kiwi Kiss, Not Quite Navy, and Baja Breeze along with dp from SU Urban Garden DSP.

That's all I have time for right now, but have a fabulous weekend, and thank you so much for stopping by! Make sure you look at the previous post and make a comment on my blog for a chance to win all 4 of the New Releases from Artful INKables!!!

Artful INKables Blog Hop!

7:00 AM 35 Comments
Hey everybody!!! You made it to the end!!! Did you see all of the INK Girls FABULOUS creations!?! These 4 new sets are awesome aren't they, and they are available TODAY here! Hopefully you made it to my blog from Elena's blog, but if not, make sure you start at the beginning which is Kristin's blog! Trust me, you don't want to miss anything! Here are the cards I've created so far with the two sets I have:
This first card was made using the Three Wishes set. I adore these darling genies~they are just too fun! I stamped the palace onto some dp from the Basic Gray Eva paper pad and cut it out with Labels Two Nestabilities. I stamped each genie, colored them in with Copics, cut them out, and popped them up on Dimensionals. I added Stardust Stickles to the veil on the girl genie. I stamped the sentiment and punched it out with an oval punch. I sponged Ranger Antique Linen around the edges. I used my Fiskars border punch to create the decorative border and one of my Cuttlebug Vintage Dies for the corner embellishment. I added a straight stitch around the card and 3 black Kaiser pearls to the corner.

These next two card were made with the Bouquets & Butterflies set. Isn't this bouquet just beautiful! I adore it! Ok, I colored in the bouquet stamp directly with SU markers~Perfect Plum and Old Olive~gave it a huff and stamped it : ) I then colored in the flower portion again, stamped it, and cut the pieces out so I could pop them up with Dimensionals. I actually cut out one of the leaves too, so it wouldn't be cut off by the Oval Nestabilities : ) I stamped the butterfly with So Saffron twice, cut them out, layered them on top of each other, and added Kaiser pearls to the center along with some Stardust Stickles. I used my Scor-Pal for the lattice texture on the base of the card, and my Swiss Dots CB Folder for the dots on the white panel.

For my final card, I colored the image with Cameo Coral and did the same as I did with the previous card. The butterfly in the corner was colored with Cameo Coral and a black marker, I stamped it in the corner, stamped it again, cut out the wing portion and popped that up on Dimensionals. I made the rectangle frame using my Rectangle Nestabilities. The small butterflies are a Martha Stewart Punch and I added a Kaiser pearl to the center of each. The adorable charm can also be found at Artful INKables, along with several other fantastic charms and ribbon! I hope you like my creations, and these awesome sets! Now onto how you can win these sets for yourself!!!
*****BLOG CANDY*****

Tomorrow Is The Day....

3:07 PM 2 Comments
That 4 new sets will be available at Artful INKables!!! Trust me when I say that these new sets are amazing! The INK girls are having a blog hop tomorrow to show off the new sets, and if you follow along, you are sure to find some yummy blog candy at the end! Make sure you start at Kristin's (the AI owner and artist) blog here!
On to a couple of projects to show you. I have a SU party tomorrow night, and this is what I came up with to have the ladies make : ) The first one is using the new Great Friend set found in the Occasions Mini Catalog. I love this set, and had a lot of fun putting this card together. I stamped the leaf and sentiment with Not Quite Navy, punched them out with the 1 1/4" Circle Punch, and sponged Baja Breeze around the edges. The butterfly was stamped with Kiwi Kiss and sponged with Baja Breeze. I stamped the label image with Basic Gray onto Basic Gray 3 times and cut them out. I layered the stamped images on top, and popped them up on Dimensionals. The dp is from Urban Garden DSP.
The second card is very basic. I used Fifth Avenue Floral, and stamped the flowers onto WW with Kiwi Kiss, Baja Breeze, and Chocolate Chip. The sentiment is from the Wonderful Watercolors set. I adhered that to Baja Breeze and added a Kiwi Kiss ribbon knot to the corner. Hopefully they will like these projects! Thank you so much for stopping by today, and make sure to come back tomorrow for the blog hop! I have 3 cards to show off : )

3:43 PM 8 Comments
Happy Easter everybody! This is my submission for this week's Mojo Monday sketch : ) I used three Verve stamp sets for this card~Beautiful Kindness, Miracles Blossom, and Grateful Elegance. Aren't they fabulous : ) I stamped the flower stem with Certainly Celery, and the flower itself twice with Pumpkin Pie. I cut out one of the flowers, sponged it lightly with the Pumpkin Pie, popped it up on a Dimensional, and added a Kaiser pearl to the center. I stamped the butterfly twice with Certainly Celery, cut one out, sponged the edges with Baja Breeze, and added Stardust Stickles around the edges and center. I sponged all the white panels with the Baja Breeze as well. I used this super fun dp from My Mind's Eye~Bloom & Grow. A Little Behind....

3:56 PM 6 Comments
I've gotten a little behind on my posts, so hold onto your hats, because I have lots to show you : ) This first card is one I posted yesterday, but I just didn't quite like it, so I tweaked it. It just really seemed off balance, and I like this version much better! I used my set from Artful INKables called Sunburst Dandies. I love this set, because the color combinations you can use with this beautiful bloom are endless, and it's soooo easy! I stamped the flowers in Tempting Turquoise, and the center with Pumpkin Pie. The stem is Kiwi Kiss. The dp is from DCWV Citrus Matpack. I used my new SU Eyelet Border Punch and added some Dew Drops and ribbon for embellishments. The sentiment was cut out with Shapeabilities Ribbon Tag Trio and sponged with Tempting Turquoise. I hope you like it!

This next card I made for today's Sketch Challenge on SCS. My sister recently asked me if I could make some Cinco de Mayo invitations for a party her and her husband are having. I really didn't know what to do, but I found this stamp at a Hobby Lobby while we were on vacation. When I saw today's layout, I thought it was perfect! I colored the image in with Prismacolor Premier Pencils and used Turpenoid and blending stumps to blend. The dp comes from SU Washington Apple DSP. I used my Eyelet Border Punch once again and some Dew Drops and ribbon. The bg is embossed with my Swiss Dots CB Folder. Hopefully my sister will like them, and I better get busy because I need to make 25 of them! Finally this last card is my submission for this week's
Fun-Frilled Challenge to make an Easter card. My inspiration came from this card by Amy Sheffer (PickleTree on SCS). The stamps are from the I Am the Way set by Our Daily Bread Designs. I stamped the lilies each twice, cut out the flowers, and popped them up on dimensionals. I colored the stems in with Sage Shadow. The frame is a Bosskut die called Vintage Tag and the dp is from Making Memories Flower Patch. I added some paper piercing, the ribbon, and Kaiser Latte Pearls and it was complete! Don't forget to check out this post to see how you can win almost $300 worth of JustRite Stampers products by playing along with us!

Well, hopefully you hung in there through all of that! Thank you soooo much for stopping by today!

Petal Pizzazz Flower Pot

4:47 PM 12 Comments

Hello! Did you miss me while I was gone : ) Probably not lol! We had a great time at the beach, although I got a little too red : ( I'm happy to be back though so I can play with my toys : )
I made this totally adorable card for today's Try a New Technique Challenge on SCS. I just love this idea! It's a flower pot pocket card and you can find the directions for making it here. I used my SU Petal Pizzazz set for all of the flowers and leaves. I cut them out and arranged them how I wanted. All of the colors are from the SU Soft Subtles color family. I added a lattice texture to the Close to Cocoa flower pot using my Scor-Pal, and I used my Fiskars border punch for the border. I added some So Saffron ribbon and a little tag made with my SU Oval Punches to finish it off. For the inside I stamped this super cute Whipper Snapper image and colored it with Copics. That was it! I hope you get a chance to make one of these fun little cards and thank you so much for stopping by today!

April Fools!

9:00 AM 8 Comments
Hello and happy April Fool's Day! This will be my last post for a few days, because we are heading to the beach for a little Spring Break vacation : )

This week, our Fun-Frilled theme was to make an April Fool's Day card. I have no idea what that means, so I just picked a silly image and went with it : ) I used this adorable little guy from Whipper Snapper called Caught A Bug. The sketch is from this week's Sketch Saturday sketch. I colored in the image with Copic markers, cut it out, and popped it up on Circle Nestabilities. The dp is from the DCWV Green Stack. I punched out several circles with circle punches, and layered some buttons on top. I added the ribbon, computer generated the sentiment and it was complete! We hope you'll play along with us, and please check out this post to find out how you can win $282.00 worth of JustRite Stampers products!!! Thanks for stopping by!
