I Used My Bind-it All!
Hello! I hope you are having a fabulous weekend so far ; ) I made this today for the SOA challenge to make a Memory Journal. I decided to use my Bind-it All for the first time even though I've had it since my birthday in December lol. I was intimidated to use it, so I sat down and watched some You Tube videos, and voila! I used my Bella Bleu DSP from SU, along with Kraft and Not Quite Navy cs. The pretty silhouette is from the Verve Because of You set, and I computer generated the sentiment. Ok, I'm off to get ready for an adult only birthday party~yea! Have a wonderful night!

My Daughter's First Gymnastics Exhibition!
Tonight was my 4 1/2 y.o. first little gymnastics exhibition. She did such a great job!!! They have her in a class called Olympic Tots which meets twice a week, because they see something special in her : ) She is a pretty special little girl! There were so many people there and she didn't get nervous at all. I am just so proud of her!!! Sorry the picture isn't the best : (
It ended up being a pretty busy day, so I only got one SOA project done. The challenge was to use one of Lauren Meador's Timeless Templates and it had to have a clear element on it. This For Keepsake Box Template is perfect for the challenge. I used SU Baja Breeze cs as the base, and SU Parisian Breeze DSP. I also used some Verve gorgeousness in honor of this day! These flowers are from the Because of You set, and the sentiment is from the Wonderful Wishes set. Have a fabulous weekend, and thank you so much for stopping by!

Three Cards Today for SOA!
Hello! Although the day is about over, I thought I would post the three projects I made for the Stampin' Out Alzheimers event today : ) This first one was a challenge to use any winged creature, and I paired that with a challenge to use stitching on a card. I used this adorable image from Rachelle Anne Miller, and the dp is SU Manchester DSP.
My second card was a sketch challenge, and I paired it with a challenge to use 3 or more buttons on a card. I used this adorable Whipper Snapper image and the dp is SU Sweet Always DSP.
My third and final project for today was another sketch challenge. I used this beautiful Artful INKables set~Bouquets & Butterflies. The dp is from Basic Grey Wisteria. Thank you so much for stopping by and remember there are only a couple of days left to join in on the fun and to help raise money for this wonderful cause!

Last One For Today....I Think : )
These challenges can be sooo addicting lol. I really need to feed my children and fold laundry so this is another quick post. This was a sketch challenge on the SOA site hosted by Taylor VanBruggen. This also qualifies for the Two by Two challenge to use brown, pink, and two embellishments. Since I had my Bittersweet dp out, I used that once again. This darling stamp is one of the Miss Anya's from The Greeting Farm. I definitely need to work on my coloring, but I tried : ) The sentiment is from Verve. Have a fabulous night~I'm off to be productive!!!

Another SOA Challenge : )
Hello again! One of the challenges on the SOA site is to create a Post it Note holder. Whiff of Joy is the sponsor of this challenge, so I used my favorite WOJ stamp~Willow with Flower Basket : ) My dp is from Basic Gray~Bittersweet, and I used the Sizzlit Rat-a-Tat alphabet for the "notes". Thank you so much for stopping by!

More Stampin' Out Alzheimers Projects : )
Hello! You're going to be seeing my SOA projects all week : ) There are some great prizes to be won, so I have to play along lol! These beautiful Forget Me Nots are one of the FREE Digital downloads you get just by joining the site! Aren't they purdy! I colored them with Copics, and cut them out. I added pearls to the centers. I used my new Nesties that I picked up at the Scrapbook Expo this weekend~Small Deckled Rectangles and sponged the panel with Sage Shadow. I did the same with the sentiment panel. The dp is from My Mind's Eye Bloom & Grow and the satin ribbon is from the SU Occasions Mini Catalog. This next card is a double challenge card. First it uses the supplies that Molly sent us for our Fun-Frilled Challenge this week. She sent the green cs, the gingham dp, the brown ribbon, and 4 eyelets. The colors seemed very baby boy to me, and I decided to pair it with this new stamp set from Verve called Up Up and Away because it's so whimsical : ) I used the layout from the Verve sketch challenge on the SOA site. I hope you'll join us at Fun-Frilled this week for your chance to win a Verve stamp set donated by the super generous Julee Tilman, and I hope to see you at the SOA event! Have a wonderful day, and thank you so much for stopping by!

Guest Diva
Happy Memorial Day! I hope you are enjoying this wonderful holiday : ) I was able to sit down today and make a card for the fabulous sketch that Miss Julee Tilman created. She's going to pick her favorite, and that person will be the Guest Diva for the June release!!! As you all know, I LOVE Verve, so of course I had to give it a try : )
For my card I used the stems from Verve's Miracles Blossom set, and the flowers and sentiment are from Verve's Wishful Elegance set. I stamped the stems with Kiwi Kiss and colored them in with my Aquapainter using Kiwi Kiss. I stamped the flowers with Perfect Plum, and used my Aquapainter once again. I colored the centers with my Cadmium Yellow Copic marker and applied Stardust Stickles. The flowers were cut out and popped up on Dimensionals. The dp is from Basic Grey's Wisteria Paper Pad. I used my Fiskars Lace Border Punch for the decorative border, and my CB Swiss Dots Folder for the texture on the Perfect Plum strip. I added a zigzag stitch around the perimeter, and some Kiwi Kiss ribbon and it was complete! Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Last Day of School!
Today was my daughter's last day of school. She still has another year of pre-K because she has an October birthday, but she's going to a new school next year. She was pretty sad about leaving her friends this afternoon which made me sad : ( I really like the parents too and I'm going to miss them as well! Anyway, I made a couple of teacher gifts and thought I would show them to you:
The sentiment is one of Michelle's awesome Digiments! I just sized it so it would fit in my Spellbinder's Tag Trio and sponged it with Rose Red. The little girl is from Magnolia~Sitting Summer Tilda, and the apple is from Whipper Snapper. The dp is from The Paper Studio.
My next card is the card I made for this week's Fun-Frilled Challenge to use Red, White, and Blue : ) I don't have any actual patriotic stamps, so I used this adorable Whipper Snapper Angel and colored her in using those colors. For the compete details, please visit Fun-Frilled! Thank you so much for stopping by today : )Kerri

These are so fun, and the possibilities are endless! It folds right up and fits into an A2 envelope! I once again used this fabulous set from Artful INKables called Boys Will Be Boys. The dp is from KaiserCraft called Rough & Tough. I distressed most of the panels with Ranger Tea Dye Distress Ink and added a few brads. The letter tags are from Sizzix Alphabars Doodle Tags dies. Artful INKables Blog Hop!
Hello! So Kristin, the owner and artist of Artful INKables stamps has created 4 new sets this month! She is so amazing!!! The INK girls are blog hopping today to show off the sets, so I hope you get a chance to visit everybody's blog. Hopefully you made it here from Elena's blog, but if not, start at the beginning which is Kristin's blog : )
I LOVE this set that is dedicated to boys! There are so many stamps for girls out there, so this set is awesome to have in your collection! It's called Boys Will Be Boys. I made two projects with this super fun set : ) For my first card I used Pacific Point cs and dp from the DCWV All About Boys matstack. This sentiment is sooo sweet, and I just love the little boy with the frog!
This second card is a Stair Step Fold card, and you can find directions for making one here. I tried to combine a lot of elements from the Boys Will Be Boys set, and I had a lot of fun with it. This will fold right up and fit into an A2 sized envelope. Pretty cool, huh? The base is Brocade Blue and the dp is K&Co Hopscotch.
My final card uses an adorable set called Rodeo Rodent. I just love the western theme of this set, and the little mouse is adorable! Once again I used dp from DCWV All About Boys matstack and Chocolate Chip cs for my base. I distressed the panels with Ranger Tea Dye Distress Ink. I also distressed the edges of the dp and added some brown stitching.

Michelle, the owner and creator of Digiments (digital sentiments) has decided to give away a weekly FREE Digiment! If you don't win, or if you see a Digiment you really like, they only cost $1.00 each~and you can resize them which I LOVE!
I used this week's Free Digiment to make this card. I was totally inspired by the colors of this American Crafts ribbon. I used Chocolate Chip and Ruby Red cs, and dp from SU Bella Rose DSP. I sponged the sentiment panel with Kiwi Kiss and the butterfly from Artful INKables Bouquets and Butterflies set was stamped with Ruby Red. The flourish on the sentiment panel is from Verve's Beautiful Kindness set. Ok, head on over to the Digiments Blog to download your free Digiment and read all the deets on how to play along! Just Beachy
Hello! I made a fairly simple card for today's Limited Supplies Challenge on SCS which was to use beach themed stamps. I broke out my SU Just Beachy set for the first time, and used this week's Mojo Monday layout. My cs is Tangerine Tango and Certainly Celery, and the dp is My Mind's Eye Bloom & Grow. I computer generated the sentiment : )
Tonight I am attending a gala! My oldest son goes to a school for autistic children and other special needs, and every year they have a big fundraiser gala. I love the excuse to dress up because I don't get to do that very often. It will also be nice to have a night out with my hubby and some of our other friends : ) I'm off to clean up the house so the babysitter doesn't think that it's been struck by lightening *sigh*. Have a wonderful weekend and thank you so much for stopping by!

Bandana Technique
Hello! So can you tell that I got a few new Whipper Snapper images : ) I'm always so anxious to use my new stamps lol. One of my daughter's little friends is having a birthday party on Saturday, so I thought this would be cute for him. I used this adorable image called Eli & Frogger. I stamped it twice, colored it with Copics, and cut out the frog so I could pop him up. For the background I used today's Try a New Technique on SCS which was the bandana technique. We were to add highlights with a white gel pen to stamped areas. I used my Stampin' Around Spot On and added the white dots. For the embossed layer I used my CB Spots and Dots Folder. The sentiment comes from SU Great Friend. Thank you so much for stopping by today! Don't forget that Wednesday is the big day for the first ever Digiments release! Make sure you check out the Digiments blog for a chance to win it all!

Happy Mother's Day!
I hope all of you wonderful moms out there have a fabulous day with your families! I just wanted to post a quick thank you card that I made for a friend who loves monkeys! I used this week's Sketch Saturday for my layout. The monkey is from Whipper Snapper~ I colored it with Copics, and cut it out with my Rectangle Nestabilities. The branch is actually shorter than this, so I made it longer by coloring to the edges, and outlining it with a thin, black marker. The sentiment is from SU Lovely Labels, and I stamped it with Baja Breeze. I used the SU Eyelet Border Punch for the scalloped border and the dp is from DCWV Green Stack. I added some crazy stitches around the border, the ribbon, and the Prima flowers with Kaiser Pearl centers. Thank you so much for stopping by, and enjoy your day!!!

Mother's Day Gift Box
Hello and happy Friday! I wasn't going to make anything today, but as I was perusing a few blogs, I came across this box on Nicole's blog. I LOVE it, and was totally inspired to make one ; ) The template is a PTI Lauren Meador Timeless Template called For Keepsake Box. I made the base of my box with Certainly Celery, and the top with Almost Amethyst. The dp is from SU Tea Party DSP. I used this beautiful stamp set from Artful INKables called Bouquets & Butterflies. I colored directly on the floral stamp with Almost Amethyst and Certainly Celery SU markers and cut it out. I stamped the butterfly twice with Pretty in Pink, cut them out, and layered them. I added pearls to the center of the butterfly, and Stickles to the wings and to the flowers~they are very pretty and sparkly IRL ; ) The sentiment is from Verve's Because of You set. I used SU Oval Punches to punch it out, and used a jump ring to attach it to the bow. I hope you like this project! I plan to make more of these because it was so fun! Thank you so much for the inspiration, Nicole! Thank you for stopping by today, and have a wonderful weekend : )

Krafty Elegance
Hello! Today's Ways To Use It challenge on SCS was to use Kraft cs. I immediately thought of this Bella Bleu DSP from SU. It's so pretty and elegant looking, and it has the Kraft color in it : ) I also wanted to make a card for this week's Mojo Monday sketch, so that's where I got the layout. I used my SU Great Friend stamp set for the butterfly, and the little label the butterfly is on. For the scallops I used my Martha Stewart border punch, I added some Swiss Dots to the Kraft panel, and some Kaiser Pearls to the corner. That's it for today! Have a wonderful afternoon and thank you so much for stopping by!

Gift Card Holder Tutorial and More!
Hello! I have a few things to share with you today, but first I want to announce that Digiments will be having their first ever release on May 13th. If you would like to win the ENTIRE new release, please visit the Digiments blog for details!!!
A girlfriend of mine recently asked if I could make her some gift card holders, so I've been working on those the last couple of days. I thought I would attempt a tutorial so you could make some too if you like them : )
1)Start with a 4 1/4 x 11 piece of cs. Score the cs at 3", 5 1/2", and 8"
Fold the cardstock so it looks like this:
Now glue or use sticky strip the edges of this center fold. DO NOT glue the center where the actual fold is, because you will be opening that up to fit the gift card in. See below:
This is what it will look like when you stick it together:
Now you want to use your Word Window Punch and 1 1/4" Circle punch to make a slot for your gift card. You will be punching the piece that is sticking out of the center. Come in a little from each edge and punch a little bit off with the Window Punch. See below:
Then use your Circle Punch for the center.
This is what it will look like:
Now you will add some ribbon to the front of the card. Make sure you have enough so that you can wrap it around and tie it shut.
Decorate the front and inside as desired!
Here are a couple more that I made:
This is my card for Fun-Frilled this week. Please see Fun-Frilled for all the details : )
Finally, this is the card I made for today's Sketch Challenge on SCS : )
Whew! Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Bella Thank You
Hello! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! I am in desperate need of some thank you cards : ) My son's school has a big fundraiser/gala every year, and several of my friends have bought tickets to the event, or raffle tickets to help support his school. I want to show my appreciation by sending out some thank yous! I made this one today for the Try a New Technique Challenge on SCS. Today we tried the Embossed Wax Paper Resist Technique which you can read about here. I used this beautiful bloom from SU called Bella Blossoms. I stamped it three times, once with Kiwi Kiss, and twice with Cameo Coral. I cut out the stem and flower, and the middle section of the flower and popped everything up on Dimensionals. I added some Stickles to the bloom, and some pearls to the center. My bg was made using today's technique, some So Saffron Ink, and a brayer. I added some ribbon, a couple of Dew Drops, and it was complete! Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Digiments DT!
Hello! I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend so far! I've had a great day~went to my oldest son's school for a car wash, did a little shopping, went to dinner at Outback, and now I get to share my wonderful news that I'm on the Digiments Design Team! I'm really excited about using these digital sentiments, because you can make them any size you want! You may want them to be the focal point of the card, or a smaller sentiment to fit your image. The choice is yours! I really think you'll like all the cool quotes, etc. that Michelle is coming up with ; ) I'm off to watch the Nascar race, but I'll post another project soon!
