Farm Fresh Friday and MOJO 93

Hello! I've never participated in any of The Greeting Farm challenges, but now that I have a few of their stamps (and many more on my wish list) I decided to make a card for Farm Fresh Friday~Dotty Spotty : ) We were to use polka dots on our card and a TGF stamp. I pulled out this darling Wild Sprout named Dahlia. For my layout I used this week's Mojo Monday sketch. I stamped Dahlia twice so that I could cut out one of the flowers in her hair for some dimension. I also added some Stardust Stickles to the flowers so IRL they are super sparkly! My sentiment comes from the Verve set~Just For You. This was really fun, and I'm going to have to play in more TGF challenges : ) Thank you so much for stopping by!

Final Two Verve Cards

Hello! I wanted to show you my final two Verve cards that I made for the release party : ) My first card uses the set Just For You. I also used the new Leaves Plain Jane. I stamped the circle that comes in the set with Chocolate Chip, then stamped the leaf with River Rock~a SU retired in-color~and stamped the sentiment over it with Chocolate Chip. I cut around the circle, then layered it with Circle Nestabilities. I will leave the full recipe below.
My next card uses the new Plain Jane Fell Better Soon. I also used Julee's sketch VSJUN03 from the release challenges for my layout. I stamped the sentiment with Rich Razzleberry, cut it out with my Oval Nestabilities and leaving the Nestie in place I sponged with Melon Mambo. It was fun to play with my new SU goodies! I really like these colors :) I had so much fun being Guest Diva! Thank you Julee and the rest of the Diva's for being so awesome! Thank you so much for stopping by : )

CASEing Dawn Lusk!

Today's Featured Stamper on SCS is the super talented Dawn Lusk! I have been so fortunate to work with Dawn on the Artful INKables DT, and have truly enjoyed getting to know her! I decided to CASE this beauty.

I love the window she created with the Large Labels Nestabilities, and the embossing she did with the Leafy Branch CB Embossing Folder, so I did the same thing. I flipped my card to accomodate this beautiful Sarah Kay image called Rose's Garden. I added Dimensionals to the image panel, and popped it back behind the window. Congratulations, Dawn!!! Thank you so much for stopping by : )

A Couple More Verve-alicious Cards : )

Hello and happy weekend! I have a couple more projects that I made with the newly released Verve stamps to show you : ) My first card uses my favorite of the new releases called Kindred Spirits. I stamped the oval with Chocolate Chip twice, once on white and once on Pink Pirouette. Inside the oval on the white cs I stamped the cluster of Fleur de Lis' with Bordering Blue, then stamped the sentiment over it. I cut around the inside oval and popped it up over the Pink Pirouette oval. I used my Oval Nestabilities to cut out the pink layer. I used SU Bella Birds DSP, and my new EK Success Fleur de Lis Border Punch : ) I will give the full recipe below.
My next card uses the new set 1 Peter 5:7. I just love this verse. I stamped the verse with Kiwi Kiss, removed the ink from the Him with my SU Blender Pen, and colored it with a Rose Red Stampin' Write marker. The flowers are from Verve's Because of You set and I stamped them with Kiwi Kiss. I colored the flowers with Rose Red and Cameo Coral. My layout is MOJO92. Thank you so much for stopping by, and I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

One Last Verve Sneak Peek!

Hello! Tonight is the night when all of the Verve new releases will be revealed and will be available! The party starts at 9:00 pm at the Verve forum on SCS. Today the Divas are sneak peeking this beautiful sympathy set called Forever in Our Hearts. I was very excited about this set because it's something that my collection was lacking. Can I just tell you that the sentiments and images in this set are absolutely beautiful! Julee really hit it out of the park with this one.

For my card I colored this beautiful image with Chocolate Chip, Old Olive, and Not Quite Navy. I cut it out with my Nestabilities Labels 4 and sponged it with Ranger Antique Linen Distress Ink. I matted it with a larger Nestabilities Labels 4 that I had cut around the embossed edge to make it smaller. The sentiment was stamped in Not Quite Navy and sponged as well. I used dp from SU Urban Garden DSP. Thank you so much for stopping by, and make sure you check out the Verve Blog to see more beautiful creations with this set!

Another Verve Sneak Peek!

Hello! We're counting down to the new Verve release which happens tomorrow night! For my card I used one of the sentiments from Just For You. There are many sweet sentiments in this set, as well as some that are perfect for gift giving! I first stamped the sentiment with Chocolate Chip, then removed the ink from the YOU and leaves using a SU Blender Pen (a tip I learned from Julee). I colored the YOU with a Stampin’ Write Ruby Red marker, and the leaves with a Stampin’ Write Old Olive marker. I cut out the sentiment using Oval Nestabilities and layered it onto Kiwi Kiss and Chocolate Chip scalloped ovals. I stamped the daisies from Verve’s Wishful Elegance set with Chocolate Chip, and sponged them with Ruby Red. I cut them out and popped the larger middle one up on a Dimensional. I paper pieced the centers with some dp from SU Bella Rose DSP which is what I used on the entire card. I added the leaves that I punched out of Kiwi Kiss with the Martha Stewart Fern Punch and I love how they look with the leaves on the sentiment! Make sure you head on over to the Verve Blog to see more sneak peeks of this awesome set! Thank you so much for stopping by : )

Verve Sneak Peek!

Hello! This Friday there will be some brand new Verve goodness available! Don't miss the Release Party Friday night at 9:00 pm eastern at the Verve Forum on Splitcoast. As always, there are lots of fun challenges to participate in this week, and lots of FREE sets to be won! Check out this post for all the deets. Sneak Peeks start tomorrow on the Verve Blog but I have one to show you today : )
This is one of the new Plain Janes which is Psalm 121:1-2. I love this verse, and it's in one of my favorite songs that we sing at church : ) I used one of the sketches from the June Release Week Challenge Thread VSJUN05. I stamped the verse with Chocolate Chip, cut it out with Nestabilities Labels 4, and while leaving the Nestie in place I sponged it with Baja Breeze. I cut out a Chocolate Chip panel with a larger Nestie, and ran it through my Swiss Dots CB Folder. I cut the rectangle panel with my Rectangle Nestabilities, and ran it through my Textile CB Folder. The dp is Parisian Breeze Specialty DSP from SU. I cut the flourish with my BossKut Scroll Die out of the same dp. The flowers are from Verve~ Because of You. I stamped them with Chocolate Chip, sponged them with Baja Breeze, cut them out, and added pearls to the centers. The ribbon is some SU ribbon from the Ribbon Originals collection. The right corner seemed a little bare so I added the Dew Drops : ) Thank you so much for stopping by, and remember to stop by the Verve Blog this week to see more sneak peeks!

Artful INKables Blog Hop!!!

Hello! The INK Girls are blog hopping today to show off the new sets available from Artful INKables! Hopefully you came here from Holly's blog, but if not make sure you start at the beginning which is Kristin's blog : )
I got to work with this beautiful new set called A Friendly Light. For my first card, I stamped the lighthouse/beach image and colored it with Copics. I added some Stickles to the clouds, and Glossy Accents to the crab. I punched out the sentiment with my new Modern Label Punch from SU and sponged the edges with Ranger Antique Linen Distress Ink. The base of the card is Not Quite Navy, the red dp is from Ski Slope DSP, and the blue dp is from Bella Bleu DSP both by SU. The lacey border was made using my Fiskars Lace Border Punch.
My next card is very CAS which is totally out of my comfort zone : ) I stamped 3 images from the A Friendly Light set with Memento Rich Cocoa onto Very Vanilla cs. I used a Square Nestability to cut them out and popped them up on Dimensionals. The dp is from SU Bella Bleu DSP and the base is Kraft cs. I added the ribbon and Dew Drops and it was complete! Now hop on over to Velta's blog to see what she has in store, but don't stop there because there is sure to be some blog candy along the way! Thank you so much for stopping by : )

Happy Hump Day!

Hello! I have a couple of cards to show you today ; ) This first one is the one I made for today's Sketch Challenge on SCS. I really like this layout! I pulled out my fabulous set from Verve called Up, Up, and Away. I stamped the balloon with Memento Tuxedo Black, then stamped it again on some Basic Grey Wisteria dp. I cut out the balloon part and paper pieced it. The sentiment is from Verve's Grateful Elegance set. I punched it out with my SU Oval Punch and sponged it with Ranger Antique Linen Distress Ink. I layered it on top of a scalloped oval that I punched out of Bordering Blue with my SU Scalloped Oval Punch. I added a zigzag stitch all around the perimeter of the card, and the bow with the button detail. I also added some Stardust Stickles to the clouds.
This next card is my card for this week's Fun-Frilled Challenge to make a Father's Day card. I decided to use this adorable mouse from the Artful INKables set Rodeo Rodent. My husband and I both grew up in Wyoming, so we've been to lots of rodeos, etc. He really misses living out west, and me....not so much : ) I do miss the mountains though : ( Anyway...I stamped the mouse with Memento Tuxedo Black twice, cut one out and used it as a mask while I stamped the cacti (I think that's plural for cactus). I used Copics to color, and Ranger Antique Linen Distress Ink to sponge. The base of the card is Chocolate Chip, and the green is Old Olive. I added some texture using a Sizzix Texturz Plate. The dp is from Bo Bunny and I added the scalloped border using my SU Eyelet Border Punch. I also added a zigzag stitch around the perimeter and brown brads to the corners. You can't tell but I added Glossy Accents to the star and belt buckle for some shine. The sentiment is from the new Stampin' Up catalog coming out next month called Teeny Tiny Wishes and fits perfectly in the Word Window Punch. Whew! I feel very long winded today : ) Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day!!!

Hello! Well I am back from my crazy weekend, and I mean crazy! I have not stayed out so late in a really long time, and we'll just leave it at that : ) Here's a picture of the 4 of us that went to South Beach~I'm the white girl on the right lol. I have a couple of projects to show you that I made with a couple of the new Digiments that were released on Saturday. Michelle has an AWESOME selection available, so check them out here. They are only $1.00 each/min $5.00 order, or all 30 for $20!!!
I love the Digiment I used for this card. It's so fun : ) I used this fabulous cake from Artful INKables~Birthday Best set and I think the image and sentiment pair perfectly together, don't you? The dp is from SU Sweet Always DSP.
This next project is a 2-5-7-10 Box . I used Rose Red for the base of the box, and dp from SU Raspberry Tart DSP. I love this Digiment which says A true friend remembers your birthday but not your age. Happy Birthday. I'm off to try and recouperate some more : ) Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Scrappy Birthday

Hello! Today's Ways To Use It Challenge on SCS was to crinkle cardstock and make these adorable flowers : ) You can see the tutorial for these here. I've been wanting to try this for a while, so I had to play today! I pulled out my scrap bin, and gathered these scraps from My Mind's Eye Just Dreamy 2 collection. The base of the card is Ruby Red. I used various circle punches for the circles, then used my Tim Holtz Distressing Tool around the edges. I crinkled each layer up, then stacked them together. How fun and easy, right?!? The sentiment is from Verve's Wishful Elegance set and I stamped it with Chocolate Chip.
This next project is a sneak peek of one of the new Digiments that will be released on Saturday! Michelle has 30 new Digiments for you and they are a steal at $1.00 each or all 30 for $20!!! This one is kind of hard to read in the picture but it says Count your life by smiles not tears, count your age by friends not years. Happy Birthday. I decided to make another one of these super cute cupcake boxes. I used Mellow Moss for the base, and some Melissa Frances dp on top. I added the lace, pearls, and flowers and used my Spellbinders Tag Trio to cut out the Digiment. Thank you so much for stopping by today! I won't have anything new over the weekend because I'm heading to South Beach for my girl's weekend woot, woot!!! Have a fabulous weekend : )

The dp is SU Manchester DSP. I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black, and colored with Copics. I cut it out with my Small Deckled Nestabilities Rectangle and while leaving the Nestie in place I sponged the edges with Ranger Tea Dye Distress Ink. I used my SU Oval and Scalloped Oval Punches for the sentiment, and added a zigzag stitch to the middle strip panel.
My next card is the card I made for this week's Fun-Frilled Challenge to make a summer card. You can see my description of this card here. Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Single, White, Surf

Hello! Today's Color Challenge on SCS was to make a white one layer card. We were allowed to use other colors for coloring in : ) I decided to ink up this cute Whipper Snapper surfboard stamp that I picked up a couple weeks ago at the Scrapbook Expo. I stamped it with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored it in with Copics. I sponged some Ranger Tea Dye Distress Ink on the bottom for the sand. I had to use this fun Offray flip flop ribbon even though it makes the card pretty top heavy : ) I computer generated the sentiment and cut it out with my Spellbinders Tag Trio dye and sponged around it with Kiwi Kiss. There you have my easy CAS card for today! Thank you so much for stopping by, and have a wonderful day!
