Embellish Labels Color Challenge

Hello again!  I really wanted to play along with the current Embellish Magazine Color Challenge, so today I found some time:)  I really like this color combo!  Here's what I came up with:

I used the adorable balloons from the PTI set Up, Up, and Away, and a sentiment from the PTI set Spiral Bouquet.  For my label, I cut the sentiment out with one of my Spellbinders Fancy Tags.  I then sponged around the sentiment using Berry Sorbet.  The yellow panel was embossed with my CB Argyle folder, and the white oval with my CB D'vine Swirls folder.  I also stamped one of the clouds from Up, Up, and Away with Brillance Moonlight White, cut it out, and added some Stardust Stickles around the edge.

I hope you like my take:)  Thank you so much for stopping by!

Divine Divas Inspiration Challenge #29!

Hello!  I know I am extremely late with this challenge, but I love this picture so much, I had to make sure that I got a card made :)  This is from Nostalgia Organic Soaps and Toiletries and here is what I came up with:

As you can see, I focused on the strawberries from the image:)  I used this adorable stamp from the SU set Tart & Tangy and the layout is from this week's Sketch Challenge on SCS.  The dp is October Afternoon Fly A Kite which was perfect for pulling out the blue and the strawberries.  I even put a little blue bird over the sentiment.  That image is from the SU set Season of Friendship and the sentiment is from the PTI Year of Flowers Sweet Peas set.

I hope you'll get a chance to play along!  Just use the key word DDIC when uploading to an online gallery and don't forget to check out what the other Divas created.  You can find their links on my sidebar.  Thank you so much for stopping by and have a wonderful evening!

Verve-y Father's Day!

Hello!  I finally sat down today and made a Father's Day card for my dad.  My dad is a pastor at a church that is right on the beach.  The sanctuary has huge windows, and while you are sitting in there you can see out to the ocean~gorgeous!!!  He's really trimmed down in the last couple of years and one of his favorite things to do is to walk on the beach:)

For my card I used the Verve set Relax for the palm tree and surf boards.  The sentiment is a Verve Plain Jane.  The dp is Best Creation Inc and it's called Surf's Up.  I matted the dp with some Night of Navy cs, added some stitching, the twine, and some pearls to the palm tree and called it good:)  The sketch is from this week's Friday Sketchers.  This is also for this week's A Spoon Full of Sugar Challenge~Enjoying the Sunshine.

Thank you so much for stopping by today!  I'm feeling a little better, so hopefully this cold won't get too bad.  Have a wonderful afternoon:)

Really Reasonable Ribbon Challenge #2~Ribbon Border!

Hello!  It's time for another Really Reasonable Ribbon Challenge!  For this challenge we were to create a border on our projects using RIBBON!  I just love the fun, bright colors in the Cosmo Cricket DeLovely paper pad and I decided to try my hand at making one of these fabric flowers.  I found a super easy tutorial on You Tube (LOVE You Tube!!!!)  I used my PTI Butterfly Die to cut out a couple of butterflies, then stamped on them with an image from  the PTI set Butterfly Dreams.  The sentiment also comes from this set.

For my ribbon border, I used some gorgeous Plaid Ruffle Yellow Ribbon.  Doesn't it just make the perfect border, and it's so easy!  It's already ruffled for you:)  I also used some Lime Stripe Grosgrain for my flower leaves.  The layout is from The Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge #60, however I changed the sentiment location.

Well, I'm feeling a little under the weather today.  I hate summer colds:(  Thank you for visiting me and I hope you enjoy your day!

Teacher Tags

Hello!  Well yesterday was my daughter's last day of Pre-K.  She had a little graduation ceremony on Wednesday, and it was so stinkin' CUTE!!!  They had on caps and gowns and sang some songs.  Then they played a video with pictures taken throughout the year, and one of the teachers sang "Let Them Be Little~Cause They're Only That Way For A While" which had most of the mom's, including me, bawling in their seats LOL!

I found these awesome apples through a friend of a friend.  She makes lots of different kinds, but I bought a few of my two favorites~apple pie and chocolate swirl.  I thought these would make perfect teacher gifts.  I made a couple tags for them using my Labels 8 Nestabilities~I think these are by far my favorite Nesties:)~and the PTI set Vintage Picnic.  The dp is some retired SU Summer Picnic DSP.  Now I need to make 3 more for my son's teachers.  His last day of school is Wednesday.  Thank you so much for stopping by and make sure you come back tomorrow to see some new images from Your Next Stamp!!!

I will leave you with a picture of my daughter on graduation day with her BFF from school:)

Divine Divas Inspiration Challenge #28!

Isn't this bedroom gorgeous!?!  This is our inspiration pic for the Divine Divas Inspiration Challenge.  I was having a serious lack of mojo, probably because I have so many things going on with this being the last week of school for my daughter, plus having some orders I've been trying to complete.  Anywho, I finally went with just using the colors, and making a gift tag:

I used this sweet Magnolia Tilda Image, colored her with Copics, and cut her out with my Labels 8 Nestabilities.  The sentiment comes from the SU set Great Friend.  Thank you so much for stopping by, and make sure you check out what the other Divas created :)  If you decide to play along just use the code DDIC when uploading to a gallery.
