Your Next Stamp Fun Friday~Valentine Treat Box!

Hello!  We have jam packed Fun Friday post for you today on the Your Next Stamp Blog!  You won't want to miss all the amazing DT projects, so make sure you check them out HERE

I made a fun little Valentine treat box, using this fab template from Perfect Presentation called Tall Gable Box and my Silhouette Cameo.  This one is the 1 sheet version and it holds a ton of these Nestle Crunch candy hearts!  This super sweet image is from Your Next Stamp and is called Apple Cutie.  I just covered up the apples in her basket with some punched hearts and viola!  She is perfect for Valentine's Day:)  I used my Heart Nestabilities to make the heart shaped window.

My tip on the YNS Blog is to think outside the box with your stamps.  Sometimes you can make an image fit the occasion with a few little changes.

Thank you so much for stopping by!  I'll be back tomorrow with another treat box, this time using a template I found in the Silhouette store.  I think I may get addicted!  Have a fabulous Friday!

Hello!  Well, my 49ers lost on Sunday.  It was a sad night, but I'm still so excited that they made it as far as they did!  My dad was born and raised in San Francisco, so I grew up cheering on the 49ers back when they were awesome!  It's been such a long time since they've had such a great season so it felt really good:)

Your Next Stamp Fun Friday Post~Valentine Tags!

Hello!  I'm so sorry I'm running late with my post!  This is the project I have on the Your Next Stamp Blog today:)  Valentine's Day is coming up, and that means treat bags for the class!  My daughter helped me pick out some fun things she would like to give out to her class, and I wanted to jazz up the presentation a little bit with a handmade tag!  I just love that handmade tags make your gift look unique and special!

For my tags I used these adorable critters from Jenny Suchin Designs called Basket Animals.  Don't they look so cute peeking over the heart?!  The tags were cut with the PTI Tag Sale #1 Die, and I used Heart Nestabilities to cut the hearts.  I added some Echo Park Paper Co. Yours Truly dp and a sentiment from the SU set Teeny Tiny Wishes.  A little ribbon and baker's twine and they were complete!

Here is a close up of one of the tags using the adorable fox in this set:

I embossed the hearts with the CB Seeing Spots Embossing Folder.  Well I hope this inspires you to create some tags!  My daughter just LOVES how these came out and can't wait to give them to her class:)  Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

I just have to say GO 49ers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Color Throwdown #173 PLUS Some Exciting News!!!

Hello and Happy 2012!  Did you miss me?  I took a nice little break while my kiddos were out of school for the holidays.  We had lots of fun getting ready for Christmas and spending some time in Jacksonville with my family.  My hubby was off this past week, so we had more wonderful family time!  I also read The Hunger Games series by Suzanne Collins over the break.  They were soooo GOOD!!!  I read all three books within a week, and now I can't wait to see the movie!

You may have noticed that we've switched things up a little bit at Color Throwdown.  This year, we are not only going to be giving you the color swatches, but we will also have an inspiration picture to go with them~fun!  Our lovely hostess this week is Barbara and she came up with a great combo for the New Year!  This is what I came up with:

I used this darling image from Sparkle Creations Rubber Stamps called Celebrating Chloe along with some dp from My Mind's Eye~Lost & Found Union Square.  If you'd like to play along, just upload your creation to the Color Throwdown Blog HERE!

Speaking of Sparkle Creations, I'm so excited to announce that Sparkle invited me to join her amazing Design Team!!!  This is one of my dream gigs, so I was super stoked when she asked me~thank you woman!

I'm also so incredibly excited to announce that I am also joining the Tickled Pink Stamps Design Team!  Being a Pink Lady is another one of my dream gigs, so I am feeling amazingly blessed right now!

I'm looking forward to this fun and busy year.  I haven't made a lot of resolutions, but the one thing I am determined to do is GET BACK TO THE GYM!!!  I've been terrible about going since my thyroid surgery, and then I got really sick for much of December, and then I thought I broke my toe (it's still a little swollen and sore) but I'm pretty much back to normal and I need to lose the 10 pounds I put back on over the last few months:(  On a brighter note, the new season of The Bachelor started on Monday which is my favorite show LOL!  Looks like another season full of drama~love it!

Thank you so much for stopping by and have a wonderful Wednesday!
