Your Next Stamp Fun Friday!

Hello!  I feel like such a seriously bad blogger lately!  EEK, I just have had too much on my plate, but I'm getting everything wrapped up, and I am really looking forward to summertime:)  I even sent all of my teacups and picture frame cards into school today without taking a single picture!  WHAT!  That's how scatterbrained I am.  Hopefully I can get some shots during the actual tea party...  So, TGIF, which means it's Fun Friday on the Your Next Stamp Blog!  I have a cute little Christmas tag to share with you today:

I just love tags.  They make me happy and how could you not smile when you see this cutie called Merry Mouse Wreath!  I used the PTI Tag Sale #1 Die to cut my tag, added some Echo Park Paper Co. Season's Greetings dp and a few pearls that I colored with a Copic marker.  The border was punched with the Martha Stewart Daisy Border Punch.

I'm really getting excited for May 1st because we are going to have a HUGE announcement from Your Next Stamp, along with a special blog hop, so make sure you check it out on Tuesday!  Trust me, it's BIG!!!

Well I hope you have a wonderful weekend.  Tomorrow I"m going to a ladies' tea at church which I'm looking forward to, and then I'm going back to work after 9 years!  My friend who works as an event coordinator for a local country club has hired me on to work events.  I'm going to help set up, serve, and clean up.  It will be nice to make a little extra cash for all of my crafting wants.

Thanks for stopping by and have a fabulous weekend!

Altered Recipe Box

Hello!  I know I haven't posted in a few days, but I've been working on several projects!  My 4 year old's teacher asked if I could make a bunch of things for their upcoming Mother's Day tea that they will be having in a couple of weeks so I had 30 paper tea cups with coordinating picture frame cards to bust out.  I'm ALMOST done thank goodness!  Also, I worked on some favor boxes this weekend for a ladies tea that we are having at our church on Saturday.  My bible study group decided to host a table and of course I volunteered to do the favors:)  I will share that later in the week.  Then, I've been working on a little gift set for a friend of mine's birthday, and last but not least, I altered this wooden recipe box for another friend~WHEW!

I bought the box at Joanns, and decoupaged it with some old Little Yellow Bicycle Delightful dp.  I added the letters using PTI alphabet dies, and the flowers were made with the MFT Die-namics Prima Donna Petals.  I also added some Martha Stewart punched butterflies and rhinestones.  The rectangle was cut with Long Rectangle Nestabilities.

I added some ribbon, lace, and a scalloped border cut with my MFT Die-namics medium scallop border die.

Sorry for the poor pictures.  I took them very quickly early in the morning before having to take it to her.  She wanted to give it to a friend for her bridal shower and the theme was recipes-CUTE!

I'll be back later in the week with all of the other projects mentioned above!  Thank you so much for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your Monday!

We hope you'll join us this week!  Just link your creations to the Color Throwdown Challenge Blog HERE and make sure you check out the rest of the DT's beautiful projects while you're there!

I cut out the bottle tag with my Silhouette, then added some Crate Paper Farmhouse dp.  I added a Kraft tag cut with a PTI die, then added the polka dot layer that I cut with the YNS Tags Galore One Die.  The fun drink is from the YNS set Cheers!, and I used one of the new Cheers!
