Your Next Stamp Fun Friday and More!

Hello!  I have some cute projects to share with you today for Your Next Stamp Fun Friday!  I have seen a few of these Tic Tac Covers around the web and thought it would be fun to try:)

I made up my own template by measuring the length of the Tic Tac box and then wrapping paper around it and marking where to score my lines.  I then added some embossed dots and decorated away with some adorable YNS stamps and dies!

For my first cover I used this super sweet Mini Ellie Loves to Skate with the coordinating Die as well as one of the Tree Trio Dies which I LOVE!

For my second cover I used one of my favorite images released this winter called Winter Smiles Robin along with a snowflake die from YNS Whatnots Seasons Set One.

I'm going to stick these in our advent calendar for my kiddos today:)  My youngest especially just loves Tic Tacs!  Make sure you check out the Your Next Stamp Blog to see more fun projects today!

I also wanted to share a tag I made (I actually made 12 of these) for teacher gifts and coaches gifts.  I used THIS gorgeous poinsettia that I found in the Silhouette Online Store by Lori Whitlock. The base of the tag was cut with the PTI Tag Sale #4 Die and I embossed the cream panel with the PTI Woodgrain Impression Plate.  I cut the poinsettia with PTI Pure Poppy cs and sponged the edges with PTI Scarlet Jewel.  The leaves were cut with SU Old Olive and sponged with SU Always Artichoke.  The sentiment came from the PTI set Bells & Boughs.

I found these really cool baskets at a fun flea market type store and filled them with some goodies for my son's teachers.  Some yummy Godiva chocolates, a sparkly ornament, 3 handmade tags, and some peppermint soap.  I hope they like them!

That's it for me today!  I have a couple other projects to share if I can find the time!  We are hosting Christmas at our house this year and I have A LOT of cleaning and organizing to do!  Thank you so much for stopping by and have a fabulous Friday!

Color Throwdown #222!

Hello!  Are you ready for the last Color Throwdown Challenge of the year?  We'll be back after the New Year, but we hope you'll play along with us this week!  Our hostess for this challenge is the amazing Broni Holcombe, and I think the photo she chose is just gorgeous!  I was a little rushed for time this week, so I made a very CAS card:

I LOVE this house from the PTI set Winter Hills.  This is so my style, in fact I'm working on a cross stitch right now that has these primitive looking country houses on it:)  I added a sentiment from the PTI set Bells & Boughs and the hills were cut with the PTI In the Meadow Dies out of shimmer white cardstock.

We hope you'll play along with us!  Just link your creations on the Color Throwdown Blog HERE!  While you're there, make sure you check out the rest of the DT's amazing creations:)

I'll be back shortly with the Your Next Stamp Blog Hop!  Have a wonderful Wednesday!

For my first project I used this fun new set called Tick Tock!  I stamped the adorable alarm clock and cut it out with the coordinating die.  I paper pieced the clock with Authentique Free Bird dp and added a brad to the center.  The sentiment comes with the set and I completed the sentiment on the inside:

For my next project I used You Take the Cake:

I love this whimsical cake image and those balloons!  I used some Simple Stories Happy Day dp and the layout is the Deconstructed Sketch #78. (Quick tip: to make the circle in the layout, I traced a bowl:)

It's Black Friday and time for the Baker's Dozen Studio Challenge and a BIG Black Friday Sale at Taylored Expressions!!!

We are releasing a brand new set of dies today~ the Labels Stacklets 3 which coordinates with the Frame It Up 1 Die!  These dies will be available today as part of the sale!

I am so excited to be participating in the Studio Challenge this month!  Here is the question:

As crafters, we often talk about a hand-crafted Christmas. How much stamping do you do for the holidays?  Do you mail hand-stamped cards, make gift packaging, tags, handmade gifts?  Or do you stamp year-round, but not so much for Christmas?  Please show us some handmade tags and share a tip or two on how to keep stamping fun for the holidays.

Unfortunately I don't have a lot of time to make too many hand-crafted gifts for the holidays.  I try to make as many hand-stamped cards as I can for my close friends and family.  I also LOVE making gift tags.  This year I am trying to make a few sets to hand out as gifts.

I also love to make little boxes which are perfect for gifting ornaments.  I think mixing it up with cards/tags/boxes keeps crafting fun for the holidays!  Here are some tags I made the other day using the adorable Taylored Expressions set~The Cool Crowd!

For this tag I used the smaller snowman from The Cool Crowd along with the Trim the Tree Dies, the Banner Day 1 Die, and I embossed one of the Totally Tags Dies to put behind the image.

For this tag I used my favorite snowman along with the Banner Day 1 Die and the Totally Tags Die.  I embossed the Totally Tags Die with the Cuttlebug Snowflake Embossing Folder for each tag.

Here is a close up of the final tag.  I used My Mind's Eye Winter Wonderland dp on all of the tags and added a punched snowflake with a pearl center to this one:)

It wouldn’t be Black Friday without a sale! Just enter coupon code BLACKFRIDAY2012 on your order at the TE Store Friday through Monday to save 10-30% off your entire order! The earlier you shop, the MORE you save! Details on the TE Store homepage.

Make sure you hop over to the Baker's Dozen Blogs to see what they have in store for you today!

I hope you have a super fun shopping day!  Thanks for stopping by!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Hello!  I hope you are having a wonderful day with your friends/family!  I wanted to pop in really quick and share the place cards I made using my PTI Friendship Jar set and dies.  The sentiment comes from the PTI set Fall Elegance.

So what are your plans today?  Who is going shopping tonight and who is waiting until tomorrow?  My BFF (that I shop with every year), my mom, and I have decided to head out tonight because my friend really wants to go to Toys R Us.  After that we'll hit one of the malls that is opening at midnight.  I'm much more of a night owl than a morning person, so I think this schedule may work, although I still think they've really messed up Thanksgiving and Black Friday with these 8 p.m. openings.  I liked it so much better when everything opened at 6 a.m.!  Have a wonderful, relaxing, delicious Thanksgiving!

Hello and happy hump day!  Wednesday means we have a new challenge for you at the Color Throwdown, and this week the fabulous Lynn Put is our hostess:)  I think this sweet little birdie she chose is just BEAUTIFUL!  Those colors are amazing!  I knew exactly what image I wanted to use as soon as I saw it:

This is one of the new stamps from Your Next Stamp named Holiday Joy Robin~ so sweet!  I colored this cutie the same colors as the inspiration picture and used a combo of Jillibean Soup Apple Cheddar Soup and Winter Tortellini and Spinach Soup.  I stamped the image twice, cut one out with Oval Nestabilities and embossed it with the CB Snowflake embossing folder.  I cut the bird out of the second stamped image and popped it up with a foam square.  The sentiment is one of 2 that comes with the set, and the layout is The Sweet Stop Sketch #183.

We hope you'll play along with us this week!  Just link your projects on the Color Throwdown Blog HERE, and make sure you check out the rest of the awesome DT creations while you're there!
