Taylored Expressions Inlaid Die Cutting

Hello! The Baker's Dozen was challenged to try this fun technique this month-Inlaid Die Cutting! This is my first time trying it, and I love how it came out! I gave myself a few challenges, that I learned from, however:)

To begin, I used the Birch Tree Cutting Plate to cut some Buttercream Frosting cs. I layered that over some Toffee cs and then filled in the negative space by cutting a piece of Toffee cs with the Birch Tree Cutting Plate. My lesson is not to give yourself two thick layers of cs to cut through when trying to do the inlaid die technique LOL!

After I got my background put together, I cut my deer using a Birch Tree Accessories Die out of some Build a Scene dp. I also cut the grass using the Wispy Grass Border Die and some Peapod cs. I then cut my background using these dies and used the inlaid technique to fill in the space with my die cuts. Finally, I added the sentiment that I stamped using the In & Out Birthday Stamp Set and I cut it out with a Stitched Banner Stacklets Die. Perfect for a masculine birthday!

Thanks for stopping by today, and have a wonderful Wednesday!

Taylored Expressions December Release Day: Simply Stamped-Roses!

Hello! It's Release Day at Taylored Expressions, which means all of the new products are available NOW in the TE Store!

For my final project, I used the new set Simply Stamped-Roses. This set is so beautiful! I used the 3 larger rose images and 3 shades of pink/red to create my rose. I cut it out using the coordinating Simply Stamped-Roses Dies. I layered my rose over a circle cut with a Stitched Circle Stacklets Die. The dp I used is a mix of My Mind's Eye and I cut the sentiment out with a Stitched Banner Stacklets Die. I really love how it turned out!

Taylored Expressions December Sneak Peeks: Mason Jar and Roly Poly Bee

Hello! It's Day 3 of Sneak Peeks from Taylored Expressions and all of the new products will be available tomorrow, December 10th at 7 AM PST!

For my first project today, I used a couple of new stamp sets-Mason Jar and Bugs & Kisses Stamp and Die Combo!

I stamped the Mason Jar image with Memento Tuxedo Black and cut it out with the coordinating Mason Jar Dies. I stamped the adorable spider image (say what???) onto my mason jar and colored with Copic Markers. I stamped the sentiment below it and then popped the image up on a tag cut with a Tag Stacklets 1 Die. I used the Tag Pocket Die to make my pocket. I added some dp and a heart that I cut using the new Stitched Heart Stacklets, along with the darling butterfly from the Bugs & Kisses Stamp and Die Combo.

For my next card, I used the new Roly Poly Bee Dies! I cut the body of the bee using a Stitched Circle Stacklet Die and some Build a Scene dp. I cut the stripes, mouth, and antennae out of Oreo cs and then cut the wings out of some sparkly silver cs. The heart was cut using the Stitched Heart Stacklets and I stamped a sentiment from the new Heart of Hearts Stamp and Die Combo. Here's a peek at the inside:

I simply stamped another sentiment from the Heart of Hearts Stamp and Die Combo. Isn't he cute?!

Taylored Expressions December Sneak Peeks: Love is an Adventure and Heart of Hearts!

Hello! It's Day 2 of Sneak Peeks from Taylored Expressions and all of the new products will be available on Thursday, December 10th at 7AM PST!

For my first card today, I used a fun new Valentine set called Love is an Adventure! I stamped two of the images from the set with Memento Tuxedo Black and paper pieced the hearts. I cut the images out with the coordinating Love is an Adventure Dies and set them aside. I put my scene together using the Build a Scene Rolling Hills Dies and the Build a Scene Paper Pack, along with a Build a Scene Rolling Clouds Die. The background was embossed with the Cloudy Days Embossing Folder. I popped my images up with foam tape and stamped the sentiment directly onto the clouds. Super cute!

For my next project, I used the sweet new Heart of Hearts Stamp and Die Combo. This set comes with several fun heart images and Valentine sentiments. I stamped the large heart image with Memento Tuxedo Black, colored with Copics, and cut it out with the new Stitched Heart Stacklets. I stamped the smaller heart with a light blue ink and then cut it out with the included heart die. The sentiment was stamped onto a banner cut with the included banner die. I embossed the red layer with the new Swiss Hearts Embossing Folder and layered that over some My Mind's Eye Cupid's Arrow dp. I love how this came out!
