Taylored Expressions March Sneak Peeks: Welcome to the Neighborhood!

10:00 AM 0 Comments

Hello! It's Day 1 of March Sneak Peeks from Taylored Expressions and all of the new products will be available on Thursday, March 9th at 7AM PDT!

For my first card today, I used a couple of really fun new die sets called Sitting Pretty Dies along with the new Sitting Pretty Accessories Dies to design my "wall". I love this concept because I love to decorate and this is like bringing home décor to a card!

I started by using the Sitting Pretty Dies to cut my frames out of Oreo cs. I then filled some of them with yellow dp from the Rainbow Brights 6x6 Paper Pack and the rest using images from the Sitting Pretty Accessories Die Set. I cut the ledge out of some Build a Scene dp using another Sitting Pretty Die.

My bead board molding was made by embossing a piece of Sugar Cube cs using the Bead Board Embossing Folder and then adding a strip of Sugar Cube to the top and bottom. I layered everything over some Earl Grey cs and then stamped a sentiment from the new There's No Place Like Home stamp set using Oreo Ink and the Mini Misti Tool for placement.

For my next project, I made a fun tag using the new Little Bits Clothing Confetti Die and Little Bits Laundry Basket Die.

I started by cutting my tag out of Sprinkles cs using a Tag Stacklets 1 Die and embossed it with the new Subway Tiles Embossing Folder-I will be using this often!

I cut the banner using Sugar Cube cs and a Skinny Mini Valentine Border Die. I then cut the clothes out of Blue Corn, Cookie Monster, Jelly Donut, Lollipop, Peapod, and Lemon Meringue cs using the Little Bits Clothing Confetti Die and the laundry basket was cut out of Earl Grey cs using the Little Bits Laundry Basket Die.

I stamped the sentiment from the new Spin Cycle Sentiments stamp set onto some Sugar Cube cs and cut it out with the bottom part of the Tag Stacklets 1 Die. So cute and would go great with a gift for someone going through a hard time.

Word Art Wednesday: Anything Goes!

10:00 AM 0 Comments

Hello! Word Art Wednesday is pairing with Taylored Expressions this week and the challenge is Anything Goes! Taylored Expressions is offering one lucky participant a $25 Gift Certificate to the TE Store!

For my card today, I decided to make a fun little thank you for a friend of mine who loves coffee! I started by cutting a piece of TE Sugar Cube cs and embossing it with the Brick Embossing Folder. I then used some Pumpkin Ink and a Clarity Stencil Brush to lightly brush some color over my bricks.

Next I used the Bistro Lights Cutting Plate to cut a piece of TE Toffee cs. I used the included die to cut my circles out of Cookie Monster, Lemon Meringue, Lollipop, and Pumpkin cs. I snipped off some of the strands using scissors as I didn't want the lights to come all the way down. I adhered my circle lights using liquid glue and then added some sparkle with Stardust Stickles.

To build my scene, I added some grass to the bottom using the Grass Border Die and some Peapod cs. I sponged around the grass with Peapod Ink. I then cut my bistro set out of Poppy Seed cs using the Build a Scene Bistro Die Set. I also used this set to cut the coffee mugs out of Cookie Monster cs and the flowers and vase out of Lemon Meringue, Lollipop, and Chocolate Truffle cs.

Finally, I stamped a sentiment from the Koffee Time Stamp and Die Combo with Poppy Seed Ink and cut it out with a Stitched Banner Stacklets Die. I sponged around it with Toffee Ink, added it to the top of my card and it was complete! So fun!

Thanks for stopping by and have fun playing this week!
