My first project of the day was this simple tag. The challenge was to make a tag or a card with a tag on it, etc. I cut out some old retired SU Ski Slope dsp with my BossKut Vintage Die. I also cut out some cs with the same die and mounted the dp onto it to add stability. The cute snowman is from Whipper Snapper. I colored him with Copics and cut him out with Oval Nestabilities. I stamped the sentiment from the SU Great Friend set and sponged the edges with Ranger Tea Dye Distress Ink. I added the ribbon and the twine and it was complete!
My next project is a template I downloaded from Papertrey Ink~Lauren Meader's Timeless Template Pretty Petal Pocket. I'm already starting to plan my daughter's 5th birthday even though it's not until October : ) She says she wants a tea party~how fun! I thought this might be cute to put on the table besides the place settings for the girls with some pastel M&M's or something inside : ) I used paper from SU Tea Party DSP(how appropriate!) and Almost Amethyst, So Saffron, Pretty in Pink, and Certainly Celery cs. The butterflies are punched with a Martha Stewart Punch.
My third card was for the Masculine Card Challenge. We were to make a card for a boy, we had to use 1 piece of patterned paper and 3 colors. I used Kiwi Kiss, Basic Gray, and Not Quite Navy cs. The dp is from Urban Garden DSP. I colored this adorable dino from Whipper Snapper with Copics, cut him out with my Small Deckled Rectangle Nestabilities, and popped it up on Dimensionals. I stamped the balloon again, cut it out and popped it up. The sentiment is from Verve's Wonderful Wishes.
Finally, I made this card for two challenges~to make our own dp, and to use a winged creature. I stamped my bg with the beautiful damask image from the SU Friend 24-7 set. I used Bordering Blue and Soft Suede for my colors. I really love this combo! I stamped the bird twice, cut one out so I could pop it up on dimensionals. I cut it out with my Nestabilities Labels Four, cut around the embossed edge so I could mat it onto another Nestabilities Labels Four (I hope that makes sense). I sponged lightly with Bordering Blue around the image panel and sentiment. Ok, well I'm about to fall asleep so thank you so much for stopping by, and hanging in through my super long post!!! Hopefully I'll be able to play in more DTGD challenges tomorrow : )

You made all this yesterday in the midst of all that busyness? Holy cow.... I love the little basket you made - can't wait to see everything you do for the party....I remember your first blog post...or one of the very first anyway was things you had done for a baby shower - can't wait to see the rest of the stuff you come up with for this party!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Michelle....I can't believe in between all you had to do, you were still able to complete all of those items?? Wow! That tag is great, I love the purse (perfect for your daughter's tea-party), that masculine card is awesome (I have such a hard time w/those) and the last card is just gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteGOOD grief girl! How did you find time to do ALL that between it all! I love Lauren's Templates and that one is adorable! The "boy" card is really cute too...I love the colors. And that Christmas tags just rocks, love the shape!
ReplyDeleteWow! You have been busy! I love all of the cards you made! You are so talented, Kerri! The boy card is adorable; tag is so cute; your DP is very beautiful; the butterfly project is stunning!
ReplyDeleteTalk about being busy. And making such fabulous things in the process ;)
ReplyDeleteYour daughter will love the tea party you plan....that template is perfect for party favors. I made my daughter one of these the other day, and before I could even decorate it, she took it and claimed it as her own!
