Valentine Heart Box

Hello!  This is the project I have on the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog today.  I had so much fun making a heart box for our RRR Blog Hop this month, that I had to make another one:)  I used this adorable image from C.C. Designs called Swiss Pixie Violet with Key, some K & Co. Sweet Talk dp, roses from Wild Orchid Crafts, and some of my FAVORITE Red Shimmer Satin Ribbon which I use all the time!  Instructions for the box can be found on the RRR blog.

I hope you have a wonderful Saturday!  We're heading to our first Monster Truck ralley tonight LOL!  We thought my 3 y.o. would love it because he is so into cars/trucks, etc.  My daughter just rolled her eyes hahaha.  Hopefully she'll have a little bit of fun:)  Thank you so much for stopping by!

YNS/CHA New Release Blog Hop!

Welcome to the Your Next Stamp CHA Release BLOG HOP!

We are so excited here at YNS because Karen has taken YNS to CHA for the very first time! That's right, as you're reading this Karen will be at Winter 2011 CHA at booth #4518! WOO-HOO!!

So to celebrate this event, YNS is releasing some fab new YNS stamps just in time for CHA. You may have already caught a sneak peek of some of them last week over at the Scrapbook & Cards Today blog, but today you get to see all 9 World Kids stamps plus a fabulous new Celebrate Collection from HR Designs and 7 new mini stamps.

These new stamps are available to buy right now from the Your Next Stamp store along with all your YNS favourites.

Of course we couldn't let this release pass by without having a fun blog hop! We also have 4 fabulous guests joining us for our hop - the amazing Tori Wild, Cindy Haffner, Carole Burrage and Maylee Pham!

If you would like to participate in the hop then I am the first stop!  From here you will hop on over to Beth's Amazing Blog!

The hop starts today (28 January 2011 at 08:00 EST) and ends on 2 February 2011 at midnight EST.

As always here at Your Next Stamp, we have a wonderful prize for you to win! One lucky winner will be drawn at random from the links in the linky list to receive their choice of 3 of the new World Kids stamps!

You will see that every stop along the hop has a linky list - this is the SAME linky list posted on every blog, so that you can enter the prize draw from any stop (although we hope you will visit all the blogs on today's hop!). The linky will update itself on everyone's blog when a link is entered - how cool is that? Please remember to only enter your name ONCE into the linky list during the hop - you do NOT need to enter your name at every stop and multiple entries will be removed. It's not a requirement for you to comment at every stop along the hop to be eligible to be entered into the prize draw, but the DT would sure love to hear what you think of their new release creations!

Karen is also running some special bundle promotions, so be sure to hop on over to the YNS store once you've finished the hop. If you order all 9 World Kids stamps in one bundle, you will save 15% over the cost of buying them individually!

So onto my blog hop creations.  First up is this super sweet gal ~Miya from Japan:

I used some Basic Grey Origins dp and some gorgeous ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  The large butterfly was cut with the Spellbinders Shapeabilities Butterflies Die, and the small one with a Martha Stewart Punch.  Next up we have this gorgeous cake from the Heather Designs Celebrate Collection called Eat Cake and Be Merry:

I used some fun and colorful Pixie-Licious dp, some more gorgeous ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon and a sentiment from the Your Next Stamp set Elegant Greetings

Party Koala

Hello and happy Thursday!  My husband asked me to make a birthday card for his boss whose birthday was yesterday.   His boss is always commenting on what a great job I do with my cards, and my husband says he really seems to appreciate them which is so nice!  I received this darling Whipper Snapper Designs Party Koala in a swap a long time ago, and thought it was about time to use him:)  I only had one image, so I couldn't cut out the balloons and pop them up like I wanted to, so instead, I punched a couple out using my Martha Stewart punch.  The dp is My Mind's Eye Fine & Dandy True Blue, which I can't stop playing with!

I have LOTS of crafting I need to go do, to catch up on some DT stuff.  Thank you so much for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

Happy Birthday Jacob!

Hello and happy Tuesday!  This is the card I made this weekend, for a birthday party that my daughter was invited to.  Football season is almost over, and soon my husband will be in mourning LOL.  At least we have Nascar to look forward too, and he just bought us tickets to go to the Daytona 500~Yippee!

For my card I used this super fun image from Your Next Stamp called Football Dude.  I know that Jacob's parents are from Ohio, so I decided to color him up in Ohio State colors.  Not sure if they are fans or not, but it was a good starting point:)  The polka dot dp is from October Afternoon Modern Homemaker and the striped dp is some Basic Grey Oliver dp.  I used some fab Licorice Baker's Twine from Really Reasonable Ribbon to tie around my button, and the layout is Jen's Sketch For You To Try

Man, my arms are so tired just trying to type this post!  I made it to the gym for my 5th class!  I'm actually starting to feel a little better, so maybe it's working:)  It's been 5 years since I've done any sort of exercise, so I know I have a long way to go.  Thank you so much for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

Hello and Happy Thursday!  I wanted to share a card that I made yesterday for the Sketch Challenge on Splitcoast.  I used this super adorable and versatile image from the My Cute Stamps set Tea Party.  I put a little heart in her hand that I punched with a Martha Stewart Punch, and she is all ready for Valentine's Day!  The dp is Bo Bunny Crush and I used some fab Red Gingham Ribbon from Really Reasonable Ribbon.  The red panel is embossed with the CB Heart Blocks embossing folder, but it's a little hard to see in the pic.

Well I made it through my second step aerobics class today but I still felt like I was going to die LOL!  At least I worked out my soreness for a couple of hours, but now that I'm sitting still, it's starting to creep back in.  Hopefully I'll be able to get out of bed tomorrow:)  Thank you so much for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

For my box, I decided to use these adorable images from the My Cute Stamps Paris set.  This set is so perfect for Valentine projects, but I'm actually going to have my daughter give this to one of her best friends for her birthday tomorrow.

Ava (my daughter's friend) told her mom the other day that she really wants to go to Paris!  We are going to go shopping later today to fill this up with lots of girlie goodies like lip gloss and nail polish:)  You have to look your best when you're in Paris, right?!  The dp is some old Little Yellow Bicycle Delightful that I had in my stash.  I love that Leigh Ann includes the mat shapes with her templates which makes decorating them so easy!

Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog Hop!

Hello!  It's the 13th of the month, which means we are hopping along at Really Reasonable Ribbon to show you this month's FABULOUS Ribbon Club Assortment!!!  This month is all about Valentine's Day and the assortment is nothing short of GORGEOUS!  Hopefully you arrived here from Aphra's amazing blog, but if not then start at the beginning which is Jacque's beautiful blog!

I knew I wanted to make a little treat box, but I couldn't decide on just one style so I made a variety:

I also made a Valentine hair bow for my daughter:)  Here are some close up shots of each project with a description:

For this little treat box I used one of my favorite templates from Perfect Presentation called Bag It Up.  The image comes from the Your Next Stamp set Hope Your Day is Delicious, and the dp is retired SU Sending Love Specialty.  I used some of the gorgeous White Satin with Grosgrain Edge ribbon from the Ribbon Club to tie my handle.

This is another fab template from Perfect Presentation called Easy Candy Wrap.  I used another image from Your Next Stamp~Chocoholic set and some of the fun Pink Polka Dot Satin Ribbon from the Ribbon Club.

I found these adorable heart shaped boxes on Splitcoast Stampers and traced the instructions back to Tammie E's Blog HERE!  I used another image from the Your Next Stamp set Hope Your Day is Delicious, more Sending Love Specialty dp and some GORGEOUS Organza Ribbon from the Ribbon Club Assortment

Finally, and fun little hair bow for my daughter made with the 5/8" Random Hearts White Grosgrain from the Ribbon Club along with some 7/8" Sweetheart Grosgrain.  I used some 7/8" Bright Pink Grosgrain for my center knot.  The colors turned out a little funky in my picture.  The colors on the website are much more accurate:)

Hopefully you hung in there through my long post!  Isn't this assortment just perfect to complete all of your Valentine projects?!?!  Now it's time to hop on over to Connie's Fabulous Blog, and make sure you comment along the way for your chance to win your very own Ribbon Club Assortment

Thank you so much for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

A Little Mojo and A Blog Award

Hello!  I made this yesterday using the new Mojo Monday Sketch #173.  I thought this adorable image from the Your Next Stamp set Welcome Baby Boy would be perfect!  I also used some dp from My Mind's Eye Fine & Dandy True Blue and some fab Brown Gingham Ribbon and Orange Baker's Twine from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

I also received this fab award from the super talented and fun Julie Elak!  Thank you, girl!!!  I am supposed to share 8 things about myself so here it goes:

1) I love reality t.v. and the Bachelor is probably my fave!  I so look forward to Monday nights!!!
2) I am a night owl and I hate anything before 9 am in the morning.
3) I am a sweet tea addict.
4) I am very competitive and I hate to lose.
5) I love to decorate.  I adore Candice Olson from HGTV and would love to be her...
6) I was a R.N. before I became a stay at home mom.  Now I hope I never have to go back...
7) I have a temper.  I don't keep things balled up inside and let them fester.
8) My dream is to move to Clemson S.C., have season tickets to Clemson Football and Basketball and live in a big house with some land.

Ok, now I'm supposed to pass this on to 8 wonderful bloggers:

Vicki, Crystal, Chris, Karen, Cabio, Deb, Elena, Sparkle

I just love visiting your blogs ladies!!!  Thank you for being such an inspiration to me!

Well I have two sick kiddos at home.  My daughter can't seem to shake her high fever, and my youngest has a horrible cough and yucky nose.  Say a quick prayer for them if you get a chance.  I just hate seeing my kiddos sick.  Hope you have a wonderful, healthy day!
