Viva La Verve Cards

Hello!  I was able to play along with all of the Viva La Verve challenges this month.  I've missed my Verve!  I've already shown you the first couple of cards I made, so here are the other three:

For this card I used the VLV May Week 2 layout, the Verve set Kind Words, a Verve freebie sentiment, and some My Mind's Eye Lime Twist Life of the Party dp.

For this card I used the VLV May Week 5 layout, the Verve set Cupcake Affair, and some My Mind's Eye Lime Twist Life of the Party dp.

I'm not real sure about this card, but I used the VLV May Week 1 layout, the Verve sets Kind Words and Because of You, and some SEI Claire dp.

Well, we are rearranging our house today!  It's time for our 3 y.o. to move into a big boy bed, so we are putting bunk beds from our oldest son's room into his room, giving our oldest our old queen bed so that guests can have a decent bed to sleep on when they visit, and my hubby and I are getting a new mattress set delivered today~YAY!  I'm very excited:)

Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you have a very special Memorial Day!

First Communion

Hello!  Happy Wednesday!  A friend of mine asked me to make a First Communion card for her niece.  This is the first time I've made something for this occasion, so I wasn't sure where to begin.  She said something pretty with a cross would fit the bill, so this is what I came up with.  I e-mailed her a picture and she loves it~YAY!

I used this gorgeous cross from the Verve set Notes of Prayer along with some My Mind's Eye Stella Rose Gertie dp.  The layout is Viva La Verve May Week 3.  I distressed the edges of my papers with my Tim Holtz Distressing Tool, and some Ranger Tea Dye Distress Ink.  I dyed some seam binding with my Smooch Spritz River Mossy spray which matches perfectly with this dp!  Finally, a little stitching finished it off:)

Well, I have been taking my 3 year old to swim lessons this week.  He totally freaked out and cried for the full 15 minutes on Monday, but yesterday, he was swimming from his teacher to the side and laughing.  Hopefully today will be like yesterday!  Thank you so much for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

Happy Mother's Day and Our New Baby Boy!

That's right!  We adopted an ADORABLE Miniature Schnauzer puppy yesterday:)  My daughter and I drove 18 hours round trip to pick this cutie up and she named him Louie.  We are so excited to have a new member of the family, and we thought the kids were a perfect age to get a puppy that would grow with them.

Happy Mother's Day to all of you wonderful mothers out there, and I hope you enjoy the rest of your day!

Teacher Appreciation Day!

Click HERE to enter my Blog Candy!

Hello and Happy Teacher Appreciation Day!  I wanted to share a little gift set that I made for my daughter's kindergarten teacher:)

I made a very CAS card using the PTI set School Time along with some Cosmo Cricket Togetherness dp.  I'm thinking I should have used different colored buttons, or left them off all together, but oh well:)

For my bag I used one of these awesome Red Paper Lunch Bags from the Etsy store It's in the Bag!  These are so fun and easy to decorate!  I made a tag using the PTI Tag Sale #4 Die and more images from the PTI School Time and School Time Additions sets.  We filled the bag with some yummy Ghirardelli chocolates, and some Yankee Candle tealight candles.  Hopefully she'll like them!

That's it for me today:)  I have been working on quite a few projects that I can't show you quite yet... Thank you so much for stopping by and have a wonderful day!
