A Little Wish...

Hello! I have a CAS card to share with you today that I made for the ABC Toys and Crafts Design Team Blog.   I used my Spellbinders Nestabilities Squares and Scalloped Squares to make the base of my card, and the stamp set is My Cute Stamps Elegant Birds. I stamped the images with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, cut out the cage and popped it up on foam squares. I added a few rhinestones and some baker's twine for the cage to "hang" from. I then stamped one of the adorable birds from this same set and colored it with Copics. I cut it out with Circle Nestabilities and popped it up on the cage. Super simple!

Remember, Spellbinders Dies are 20% OFF Through September 30th!!!

Thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful Thursday!

Your Next Stamp Challenge #52~Sketch By Me!

Hello!  Well I survived my surgery but I am going to make this short and sweet because I am extremely sore and groggy from my pain meds:)  The new challenge at Your Next Stamp is a sketch by me!  Here is my take on it:

I made this a while back when I still had summer on the brain, and used this adorable set Happy Days Mermaid.  The dp is Fancy Pants Designs Beach Babe.  The sentiment comes with the set and the sun was cut with the MFT Die-namics Sun Die.

We hope you'll play along with us!  Please check out the new challenge on the YNS Blog so you can see the prize up for grabs this time!  You will also want to check out the rest of the DT's fabulous creations!

I want to say thank you so much for all of your prayers and get well wishes!  They mean a lot to me!  Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful Wednesday:)

Final PWCO Post and Surgery Tomorrow

Hello!  It's time for another Anything But A Card Sunday!  My daughter has another gymnastics meet today against some really tough teams, so I thought it would be fun to give her a little gift after she competes today:)  She LOVES all things stuffed animals, so I picked up a cute koala beanie baby and made a little tag using Zoe the Gymnast from the Zach and Zoe Collection.  Avery won't care a thing about the tag once she sees the animal LOL!

This is my last post for PWCO.  I've decided to step down from the DT.  I've had a lot of fun with these adorable images over the last 9 months, and wish Peggy and the rest of the DT nothing but the best!

So tomorrow I'm having my Thyroidectomy!  I'm a little nervous because I've never had surgery before, but I have faith that everything will go smoothly.  I'm not sure how long I'll be out of commission~hopefully only a few days~but if my blog is quiet that is why:)  Say a little prayer for me if you get a chance!

Thank you so much for stopping by and have a wonderful rest of your Sunday!

Thinking of You

Hello and happy Thursday! When I saw this gorgeous set from Crafty Secrets Clear Art Stamps~Poppy, at the ABC Toys and Crafts Store, I knew I had to have it! These flowers are stunning and make it so easy to make a beautiful card!

I stamped the poppy image twice with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink. I colored one of the images with Copic Markers and cut it out with Oval Nestabilities. I then layered the oval on a Labels 18 Nestability. I colored the remaining flowers heads that I stamped and cut them out so I could pop them up on foam squares. I just love the dimension this adds!

After I chose my sentiment, I cut it out with a Spellbinders Fancy Tags Die, and sponged around it with some Ranger Antique Linen Distress Ink. The dp I used is My Mind's Eye Lost & Found Two~Sunshine, and I added some seam binding, a button, twine, and some stitching to finish it off.

All Spellbinders Dies are currently 20% OFF until September 30th!!!

Everything is 10% OFF suggested retail everyday!!!

Sugar and Spice Gift Set

Hello!  I have a little gift set to share today for Anything But A Card Sunday on the PaperWorks Co. Blog.  I know I made a card, but hopefully since I made a gift box too, it will count:)

For my card I used this adorable image by Rachelle Anne Miller called Sugar and Spice (which looks like it's sold out right now).  The dp is PTI Fall Prints and Patterns and the layout is this week's Super Sketch #98.  The tag is from the PTI set Tiny Tags with coordinating dies and the border was die cut with the MFT Die-namics Small Open Scallop Border Die.

The box was made using a template from Perfect Presentation called Able Gable.  I decorated it with some more PTI Fall Prints and Patterns dp and a sentiment from the PTI set Spiral Bouquet.  The flower was made with the PTI Bloom Builders #3 Die.

Today is the day of my daughter's meet, so I'll let you know how it goes!  Unfortunately she has come down with a cold, so hopefully she'll still be able to focus:)  I know, I am so going to be one of those gymnastics moms so watch out!!!  I just love watching her!

Speaking of, does anybody watch the show Dance Moms?  I have to shamefully admit that I am totally addicted.  Some people are just plain crazy!  Anywho, thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful Sunday!

Tickled Pink Stamps Challenge #37~Rip Something!

Hello!  I've had this super cute Lil' Lolita image~Lil' Christmas Lolita Evie~colored and sitting on my desk for the last couple of weeks, so I finally sat down and put her on a card:)  I decided to play along with this week's Tickled Pink Stamps Challenge which is Rip Something

I distressed the edges of my patterned paper, and tore the bottom of the music sheet dp all from the Echo Park Paper Co. Merry Christmas line.  The sentiment comes from the PTI set Signature Christmas.  I added a sprig of holly punched with a Punch A Bunch punch (say that 10 times LOL) and a button.  A pretty lace border, and some stitching, and it was complete!

I'm really looking forward to this weekend!  My daughter has her very first gymnastic competition!  She is on level 2 team this year, and has been doing really well!  She won first place all around during her mock meet a few weeks ago against her teammates (27 of them!) so hopefully she'll be able to do as well against some other gyms.

Thank you so much for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your Friday!

Reading Makes You Wise

Hello!  For the last couple of weeks, the ABC Toys and Crafts DT has been showing off fun Back To School Projects on the ABC Design Team Blog.  For my project today, I thought I would make a fun little bookmark (because you know I love to make them:)

Now that school's back in session, the reading homework has begun! I pulled out this darling owl from the My Cute Stamps Set Little Forest Friends ~so perfect for a bookmark!  I stamped the owl with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored him with Copics. I used a Nestabilities Labels 10 Die to cut out my bookmark along with some Echo Park Paper Co. Country Drive dp. The top of the bookmark was embossed with the PTI woodgrain impression plate and I added a pretty punched border with the Martha Stewart Doily Lace Border Punch. The branch that the owl is perched on is also from the My Cute Stamps Little Forest Friends Set and a little ribbon and baker's twine finished it off!

I used the directions found HERE for this gift card holder.
I hope you have a wonderful day!  Our church and 5 other local churches are coming together and holding service in a local park in honor of the 10 year anniversary of 9-11.  I know it's going to be very moving and very emotional.  I'm already prepared to cry for the full 2 hours.

Today also has a very positive meaning for our family because it's my hubby's birthday!  After church we're taking him to lunch, and then we promised he could watch football for the rest of the day:)  Thank you so much for stopping by!

PaperWorks Co. Anything But A Card Sunday~Monkey Tag

Hello and Happy Labor Day Weekend!  This month I will be posting on Sundays once again for PaperWorks Co. Anything But A Card Sunday.

Today I have a fun little tag that I made using this super adorable monkey named Mikey the Monkey from the Jungle Jesters Collection.  I paired him with some Echo Park Paper Co. Life is Good dp that is on sale at the PaperWorks Co. Store!  The tag was cut with my PTI Tag Sale #4 Die, and the Enjoy tag was made with the PTI Tiny Tags set and coordinating dies.  I decided to make Mikey a girl for this tag, so I punched a flower and put it on top of her head.  I think it looks pretty cute:)

My mom and I went with some of my friends to see The Help last night and it was soooooo good!  Definitely a must see!  She's heading home today, but it was so nice to have her here for a few days:)  Enjoy the rest of your weekend, and thank you so much for stopping by!
