Color Throwdown #194

Hello!  Aren't these colors just GORGEOUS!  I am just loving this color combo and inspiration picture that Barbara came up with for this week's Color Throwdown Challenge!  I was anxious to ink up my new PTI Happy Hydrangea set and this is what I came up with:

Hydrangeas are my favorite flower so I had to have this set:)  I used some My Mind's Eye Lost & Found Portobello Road dp and embossed the circle with the SU Square Lattice embossing folder.

We hope you'll play along with us this week!  Just link your projects on the Color Throwdown Blog and check out the rest of the amazing DT creations while you're there!

Thank you so much for stopping by today!  I'll leave you with a picture of my dear grandmother who is now 100 years old!!!  So awesome!  Have a wonderful Wednesday:)

Color Throwdown #193 - Howdy

Howdy and happy Wednesday!  I hope you are having a good week:)  I have been happily making favor boxes and flower pens and a baby name banner, and prizes for the baby shower I'm hosting in 2 1/2 weeks~YAY!  I'm getting excited LOL!

This week's Color Throwdown inspiration picture reminds me of some of the decorations I'm using for the shower.  I decided on a garden, shabby chic, flowers and butterflies type of theme and I actually found a bird cage that looks a lot like this one.  The fabulously talented Wanda Cullen is our hostess this week, and I think these colors are just gorgeous together, but I did mess them up a little bit.  I didn't have any Marvelous Magenta, so my first instinct was to use Rich Razzleberry, but then I remembered someone saying that they just used a hot pink, so without re-looking at the color swatch, I went with Rose Red.  Now that I see the swatch again, I guess Razzleberry would have been better.  Oh well...

I just got my PTI order in the mail yesterday, and was anxious to ink up this new On the Farm set.  I LOVE all things country and anything made with barn wood or chicken wire immediately catches my attention!  I know I am going to get a TON of use out of the Background Basics Farm & Barn images!

We hope you'll play along with us this week!  Just link your creations on the Color Throwdown Blog and while you're there, check out the rest of the DT's awesome creations!

Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Hello!  Are you ready for a new Color Throwdown?  Our hostess this week is the amazingly talented Lynn Put!  I adore this picture she chose, and this is what I came up with:
