Taylored Expressions Panda Love and Color Throwdown #231

Hello!  I have a card to share today that I made using this darling image from Taylored Expressions called Animals in Love-Pandas.  I just think this image is so sweet!  I used this week's Color Throwdown #231 for my color combo:

I just love the colors that our fabulous hostess, Broni chose for us this week! Aren't they so fresh and summery?

I stamped the image twice, and cut the pandas out so I could pop them up with foam squares. The "love" was cut with the new Taylored Expressions Whimsy Alpha Dies and I added a Thickers U.  The dp is a combo of My Mind's Eye My Girl and Collectable Notable.  Here's a close up:

We hope you'll join us this week at the Color Throwdown!  Just link your creations to the Color Throwdown Blog HERE!  While you're there, make sure you check out the rest of the awesome DT projects:)

Thank you so much for stopping by and have a wonderful Wednesday!

Your Next Stamp Fun Friday!

Hello!  I am so glad it's Friday, how about you?  I have so much to do around my house and no plans this weekend so hopefully I'll get some things accomplished.  I'll have to squeeze a little stamping time in there too of course:)

Friday means Fun Friday at Your Next Stamp, and this month's theme is Vacation!  I don't know about you, but sometimes at the end of a vacation, I am just so excited to get back home!  Back to my own comfy bed, and comfy sofa.  All of the kiddos back in their beds instead of us all crammed into one or two rooms LOL!

I used this whimsical stamp from YNS called Happy Home.  I just think it's so adorable and I love all the fun details!  I paired it with some My Mind's Eye Follow Your Heart Be Amazing dp.  I used the YNS Fishtail/Banner Die Set for the large banner and the YNS Whatnots Seasons Set One for the sentiment banners.  Here's a peek at the inside:

The heart also comes from the YNS Whatnots Seasons Set One.  Make sure you check out the Your Next Stamp Blog for more fabulous Vacation inspiration!  Thank you so much for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend!

Taylored Expressions February Studio Challenge!

Hello!  It's time for the Baker's Dozen Studio Challenge. This is a monthly opportunity for the Taylored Expressions team to share what makes our stamping studios hum. Each month we have a fun, crafty question so we can share our favorites, some tips and tricks, stamping advice and more!  Here is the question this month:

Recipe for success! When you sit down to create a card just for fun, for the pure joy of stamping, without any type of assignment or deadline, what steps do you usually take? Tell us how you get started and take us along on your creative journey.

When I sit down to make a card for fun, I almost always start with a stamp or stamp set that I haven't had a chance to play with yet:)  My next step is to gather some fun dp!

Today I decided to ink up this adorable set called Love Bugs which I've been anxious to play with.  It comes with those fabulous Coordinating Dies!  I also pulled out more of this Authentique Lively dp which I just love:)  I always stamp my images with Memento Tuxedo Black because it is very Copic friendly.  Once I stamp my image and gather my dp, I can get out my Copics and start coloring!  I always pick my dp before I color so I can draw the colors from the paper.

Next I just have to find a sketch.  Today I used the Deconstructed Sketch #71 for my inspiration:

DS71

This is what I came up with:

I stamped the top of the jar three times-once on white card stock, then on some patterned dp so I could paper piece it, and finally on some Kraft card stock so I could cut out the tag.  I added some Stardust Stickles to the heart and their bums for a little sparkle, and stamped a sentiment from the Love Bugs Set.  I cut a border using the TE Notepaper Border Die and the XOXO sentiment comes from the adorable TE set Stuck on You.

Make sure you check out the rest of the Baker's Dozen Blogs to read about their creative process!  I really look forward to seeing what they come up with:)  Have a great day!

Get Well Wishes

Hello!  I wanted to pop in and share a card I made using some of the new products from Taylored Expressions!  I needed a get well card for a friend of mine, so I grabbed this GORGEOUS new silhouette die called Silhouette Stems 1.  I cut the shape out of black and orange card stock, then trimmed the flower heads off of the orange and adhered them to the black.  The background was created with the new Circles Cutting Plate which I LOVE and the sentiment comes from the beautiful stamp set~Posh Posies.  I also used my favorite border once again~the Lace Chain Border Die.  The dp is Authentique Gathering.

Hopefully this will cheer my friend up!  Well, I gotta go get ready for the day.  I hope you have a fantastic weekend!

Color Throwdown #229

Hello!  We have another gorgeous color combo for you this week at the Color Throwdown!  The wonderful and witty Ms. Wanda is our hostess this week, and she chose these DELICIOUS looking strawberries (oh my goodness, I want one soooooo BAD!!!) for our inspiration this week.  Here's what I came up with:

I used this adorable cupcake from the Your Next Stamp set Cute Foodies to make a fun little birthday tag!  The sentiment also comes with the Cute Foodies set, and I stamped it onto a banner that I cut with the YNS Fishtail Banner Dies.  The scalloped circle was stamped with the Flower Fun Scallop Cling Stamp onto some My Mind's Eye Lost & Found Madison Avenue dp and cut out with the Flower Fun Scallop Die. I stamped the image once again on white cs and cut out the center circle which I then embossed with the CB Seeing Spots embossing folder.  The cute cupcake was popped up with foam tape, and the whole thing was adhered to a tag that I cut with the PTI Tag Sale #4 Die.

We hope you'll play along with us this week!  Just link your creations to the Color Throwdown Blog HERE, and make sure you check out the rest of the amazing DT projects while you're there:)

Thank you so much for stopping by and have a wonderful Wednesday!

Your Next Stamp Tasty Tuesday!

Don't these cookies look heavenly!  YUM!  I just love mint and chocolate and this is our inspiration picture this month for Your Next Stamp's Tasty Tuesday Challenge:)

To play along, just create a card or project using this photo as your inspiration.  YNS stamps are not required, but we would love to see them if you have them!  You have all month to play along, and you can play as many times as you'd like!  All of the details can be found HERE.  Of course one lucky player will win  a fabulous prize!  Here's what I came up with:

I found some dp with green and brown from the My Mind's Eye Stella Rose Gertie paper pack, and used this super sweet image and sentiment from the set Ellie Loves Birds.  I also used the awesome YNS Fishtail/Banner Die Set.  The circle was embossed with the CB Seeing Spots embossing folder (my fave) and Ellie was cut out and popped up with foam tape.

We can't wait to see what you come up with this month!  Thank you so much for stopping by and have a great Tuesday;)

Taylored Expressions February Spotlights: Posh Posies and Basket-Full

Hello!  I have a couple more projects to share with you using the new products from Taylored Expressions!  This has been such a fun release (but I think all of them are fun:)

First up I want to share a card I made using Posh Posies, Posh Vases, and Whimsy Alpha.

I know that Posh Posies is going to be a go to set for me.  I just LOVE all of the gorgeous flower silhouettes in this set, and the Posh Vases Dies are perfect for die cutting vases with different patterns of dp.  I also used the ever popular Label Stacklets 1 Dies on my card, and the sentiment was cut with the new Whimsy Alpha Dies.  Isn't that font just gorgeous!?  I drew my color inspiration from this lovely Crate Paper Acorn Avenue dp.

Next up I used probably my favorite stamp set from this release:)

If you know anything about me, you know I love all things cute, and Basket-Full could not be any cuter!!!  I just love all of the adorable images that you can stick in this basket, and the sentiments are too cute too!  I also love to make tags, and I thought this stamp set would be just perfect for a trio of adorable tags for my kiddos:)

Once again I used the fabulous Label Stacklets 1 Dies for my tag shape.  The dp is Echo Park Paper Co. Country Drive.

Make sure you check out the rest of the Baker's Dozen Blogs for more highlights and I hope you enjoy your new goodies!  Have a wonderful weekend:)

Taylored Expressions February Release Day: Whimsy #'s Dies!

Hello!  It's Release Day at Taylored Expressions, which means that all of the fabulous new products are available for purchase in the Fresh Out of the Oven Department-Yippee!

Today, we are sharing projects made with some of the new Dies introduced this month.  I made a card using the new Whimsy #'s Dies which I LOVE!

I started off by stamping a sentiment with the very versatile Milestone Markers Stamp Set, then cut the 6 using a Whimsy #'s Die.  I added this fun image from the TE Party Monsters Set and used Jen's awesome Deconstructed Sketch #87 for the layout.  I think adding the number really personalizes the card and will make the recipient feel special:)  All of the banners were cut with the Banner Stacklets 1 Dies out of Pebbles Seen & Noted dp.

Make sure you check out the rest of the Baker's Dozen Blogs to see more amazing projects using the new dies and have fun shopping!  I'll be back tomorrow with 2 more projects that I can't wait to share!  Have a great day:)

Hello!  Are you ready for some more sneak peeks from Taylored Expressions?  I had a blast making my projects for this week, and everything came together so quickly!  Today I'm sharing a card I made using the new Milestone Markers set.

In April, my wonderful husband and I will be celebrating our 13th anniversary!  Thirteen just happens to be his very favorite number (being a huge Dan Marino fan and all) so along with the sentiment from Milestone Markers, I also used the fabulous new Poster Graphic #'s to die cut the 13~Love them!

Did you notice that awesome background?  I used the new Circles Cutting Plate to cut some Pebbles Seen and Noted dp.  This fab layout is the Deconstructed Sketch #86.  Here's a look at the inside:

I used more sentiments from the Milestone Markers set along with a heart from the TE Valentine Doodles Set.  The border was cut with the Notepaper Border Die.  I think my hubby will like it:)

Make sure you check out the rest of the Baker's Dozen Blogs for more sneak peeks today!  All of the new products will be available tomorrow in the Taylored Expressions Store!
