My Time Made Easy Rambling Rose~Teacher Thank You

5:03 PM 11 Comments
Hello!  Do you like my flower?  Ok, I typed that and totally thought of the Dr. Seuss book Go Dog Go~Hello do you like my hat?  I do not like that hat.  Goodbye.  Goodbye.  Ok, onto this gorgeous flower ;)  I made it!!!  How you ask?   By using the Rambling Rose cut file and THIS VIDEO by Lauren Meader.  So cool!!!  I don't have a paper crimper, so instead I scrunched up each layer into a ball which seemed to work.  I inked my petals with Pretty in Pink first, then Ruby Red, then PTI Pure Poppy.   Here is a close up:

One of my friends asked me to make some teacher thank you cards, so I used this cute apple printed dp from October Afternoon's Cherry Hill Collection .  I'm  not sure if the rose and apples go together~what do you think?  I do however know that I LOVE this rose!!!  Ok, I'm done rambling about the rambling rose so thank you so much for stopping by, and have a wonderful weekend!

Final Two Verve Beach Party Challenge Cards!

6:08 PM 8 Comments
Hello!  Are you ready for some more Vervey goodness :)  I think this card is my favorite of the group!  I am just LOVING this Kaisercraft Devonshire Collection dp, and used it on my final two cards so that I could give all 5 of them away as a gift set.  I used my all time favorite Verve set Miracles Blossom for the flower and the ribbon is from the MemrieMare Etsy Shop.  Thank you so much for the link, Michelle!

For my final card, I used the Verve set Beautiful Kindness.  The sentiment, butterfly, and flourish in the right upper corner all come from this set.  I distressed the edges with my Tim Holtz Distresser tool, as well as some Ranger Tea Dye Distress Ink.

It was so fun to pull out my Verve stamps and play along with these challenges!  Thank you so much for taking time to stop by and have a wonderful evening :)

Verve Beach Party Challenges!

6:39 PM 19 Comments
Hello!  This week is Verve Release Week, which means there are lots of fun Verve Challenges going on!  So far, I've completed the first 3:

The first challenge is a color challenge to use Orange, Aqua, and Green.  I used the flowers from the Verve set Petals & Stems for my image panel, and the sentiment is from the set Birthday Surprise.  The dp is from the Kaisercraft Devonshire Collection, which I used on all 3 of my cards today :)  I used this week's Mojo Monday sketch #135 for my layout.

The remaining challenges are all Sketch Challenges.  For this card I used the flower from the Verve set Enjoy and the sentiment is from the Verve set Accent Notes.  I am so wishing that I had some PTI New Leaf ink, and will definitely have to order some next time : )  I used Certainly Celery ink on this card, but the ribbon and cs are New Leaf.

For my final card of the day, I used the beautiful Verve set Thankful Accents.  I stamped the frame with Pumpkin Pie, and the sentiment with Chocolate Chip.  I sponged around the sentiment with PTI Aqua Mist.

Let me know if you have any questions regarding other supplies used.  Thank you so much for stopping by and have a wonderful night!  I'm looking forward to some Idol!

Happy Birthday Crafty Girl!

7:05 PM 18 Comments
Hello!  Ok, first just let me start by saying that this card is TOTALLY outside my comfort zone LOL!!!  I love dp, and I am no good at creating my own dp, but I really wanted to try and create a true PTI type card :)  Today is my good friend and neighbor's birthday, and she loves to make cards too!  I bought her a few PTI goodies, and thought this Studio Style set would be perfect to use for her card.  The argyle type background was created using the My Time Made Easy set called Argyle Amazement.  I really like it, and think I will actually try this again really soon :)  To make the card a little more me, I added lots of stitching, cut out the jar of buttons, and popped it up.  I used Sketch Girl #16 for my layout, although I strayed a little bit :)  I hope you have a wonderful evening and thank you so much for stopping by!!!  Happy Birthday, Theresa!

Your Next Stamp New Release Day Two!

2:30 AM 12 Comments
Hello!  Welcome to day two of the Your Next Stamp new release!  Today we have something really fun to show you!  Everybody loves Fhiona, so Karen decided to offer several of the popular Fhiona images in a miniature size!  I used Mini Rainy Day Fhiona for my project:

I was browsing the $1.00 section at Target when I saw this little watering can.  They also had some gardening gloves and flower seeds, and the idea hit me!  April showers bring May flowers!  How perfect for Rainy Day Fhiona :)  These little Mini Fhionas are the perfect size for tags and this was so fun to make!  I printed the sentiment on some Pretty in Pink cs, cut it out with a Labels Two Nestability and embossed it with my Swiss Dots Folder.  I punched some grass using my Martha Stewart Grass Border Punch, and cut that out with my Labels Two Nestability as well.  Then I just cut out Fhiona, popped her up, and added some punched flowers.  Super cute and easy!

Make sure you check out Karen's Blog to see the rest of the DT creations, and don't forget to leave a comment on Karen's Blog all three days for your chance to win the Surpise Pack!!!  I'll be back tomorrow to introduce you to a new YNS character that I know you will just LOVE!!!  Have a wonderful day, and thank you for stopping by:)

Your Next Stamp New Release Day One!

1:00 AM 13 Comments
Hello!  Welcome to Day 1 of the Your Next Stamp new release!  We have 3 days of fun new stamps to show you, so let's get started!  Today we have a set called Garden Greetings.  This set has 4 beautiful blooms, and several sentiments which makes it a fabulous all occasion set!  I used this gorgeous daisy image on my card:
I had a square piece of white cardstock on my table, and just started playing :)  I stamped the center daisy first, cut a mask, and stamped the other two images.  I colored them all in with Copics, and then decided to pop up the center daisy.  I stamped another one, colored it, cut it out, and popped it up.  The sentiment is also part of the set.  The dp is some retired SU Sweet Always DSP.

We are not blog hopping this month.  Instead, our super sweet leader, Karen, is posting all of the Starlets' creations on her blog!  If you leave a comment on Karen's Blog all three days, you could win a fabulous surprise pack which will include some of the new release stamps!!!

Hello!

11:01 AM 14 Comments
I hope you had a wonderful Easter!  We went up to my parent's house for a few days.  My husband and I celebrated our 10 year wedding anniversary on Friday, and my parent's watched the kids while we enjoyed a whole night to ourselves!  It was fabulous :)  I thought I would share a couple of Easter pics with you:

Here are my 3 kiddos.  Landon~the oldest is 7 and special needs for those of you that don't know.  He hates to look up so getting a good picture of him is almost impossible :)  My daughter, Avery is 5, and Carson is 2.

This is a picture of them hunting eggs.  My hubby had put them out about an hour before, and by the time we got out there, the chocolate was already melted!
LOL!  What a mess!

On another note, Team MACCK made it to the next round of The Greeting Farm Royal Battle and we still need your votes!!!  All you have to do is go HERE and vote for Angie's card!  Didn't she do an awesome job:
We would appreciate your help soooo much!!!

Ok, I'm off to check out everything I missed while I was gone :)  Have a wonderful day!

Divine Divas Inspiration Challenge #24!

6:30 AM 19 Comments
Hello!  Don't you love this springy photo?  This is from a Pier 1 Cattie and it's our inspiration photo for this challenge : )  I decided to pull out the yellow, red, and green as well as the flower shape:
I made the flower by layering several different sized flowers from the PTI set Blooming Button Bits.  The stem comes from the PTI set Floral Fusion as does the sentiment.  The dp is Cosmo Cricket Garden Variety.  I roughed up the edges a bit with my Tim Holtz Paper Distresser which also qualifies this for the Simon Says Stamp Challenge to use distressing :)

Today is the One Year mark for the Divine Diva Inspiration Challenge and Lori is giving away some candy to a participant for this challenge!  Just add the link to your project on Lori's blog and you will be entered to win!

Make sure you check out what the other Divas created and have a wonderful Easter weekend!
