Hello! Well I already played with the current YNS sketch challenge, so I decided to play along with the color challenge as well! My daughter and I are constantly giving Starbucks gift cards for birthdays, etc. so I thought it would be fun to use this darling Ellie Loves Lattes image to make a card and then have a pocket on the inside where we can slip our gift card:)

I then decided to create a simple fall scene by using the YNS Tree Trio Die Set, along with the TE Wispy Grass Border Die. I also used the YNS Fishtail Banner Die Set One to cut out my sentiment.

I don't have a very good picture of the inside but I just adhered a simple pocket and stamped a sentiment from the YNS Silly Monsters Stamp Set. That's it for me! I've had a lot of days off so I've been super crafty LOL! Thanks for stopping by:)

Cheery and Bright Christmas!

1:41 AM 2 Comments

Hello! So this is the first time in like 8 years that I am not a member of any company's design team! I was a little sad about it at first, but now I'm thinking that it's kind of nice to have total freedom over what I create!

One of the first things I wanted to do with my new found freedom is place an order with a company that I have been drooling over and stalking for the past several years-Lawn Fawn! Oh my goodness, these images just make me SMILE-they are so stinkin' CUTE!!!

For my card today, I used Cheery Christmas. I just adore this set and couldn't wait to ink it up! I stamped the trees with TE Sweet Basil Ink and the rest of the images with Oreo Ink. I then colored with Copics and cut them out with the coordinating Cheery Christmas Lawn Cuts.

I cut some hills out of shimmer white cardstock using TE Build a Scene Rolling Hills Dies, and sponged the background clouds using Broken China Distress Ink. The sentiment was stamped with TE Chocolate Truffle and Cherry Pop Ink and then cut out with a Stitched Banner Stacklets Die. Here's a close up:

I have several more ideas for this set, along with a couple other sets I purchased so stay tuned! I also want to enter this into the current Lawn Fawnatics Challenge-14 Happy Little Critters:) Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Taylored Expressions October Release Day: Freezin' Season

10:00 AM 0 Comments

Hello. It's Release Day at Taylored Expressions which means that all of the new products are now available. This is my last post as a member of the TE Design Team but it's been a fun 5 years. I look forward to what the future brings!

Before I go, I have 2 more projects to share with you today, and the first uses the new Big Blooms-Poinsettia. I stamped the flower image twice and colored with Copic markers. I hand cut the first one out entirely, and only the inner petals of the second image to pop up with foam tape which adds a pretty layer. I stamped the leaves as well, colored and cut them out and adhered to the flower. I then used the Joy Script Die to cut the sentiment out of Gold Foil cs.

I put my little bag together using the Sack It to You Die along with some Toffee cs. I added some ribbon to make a handle. Here is a close up:

For this card I used the new If Snowmen Could Talk Stamp & Die Combo along with the new Christmas Tree Shaker. I put my tree together using Sweet Basil cs and Window Acetate. I then filled it with Build a Scene Christmas Sequins and cut the star out of Gold Foil cs.

I used the Mini Misti Tool to stamp a face on my snowman and cut it out with the included dies. The background was embossed with the Winter Flurry Embossing Folder and the hills were cut out of Shimmer White cs using the Build a Scene Rolling Hills Dies. I cut the sentiment out with a Stitched Banner Stacklets Die.

I made a couple of sets of tags today, and the first uses the new Flap Stacks-Rectangle along with the new Matchy Snowman, Matchy Rudolph, Matchy Penguin, and Matchy Santa die sets.

For the base of the tags, I used the Tag Stacklets 2 Dies which the new Flap Stacks-Rectangle coordinate with. When you use these dies, you will be able to do this:

You can open the tag for a special message inside. I used the new From the North Pole Stamp Set for all of my inside messages:

Here is a list of my supplies:

For my next set of tags, I used the new Flap Stacks-Half Circle which coordinates with the Tag Stacklets 3 Dies. I embossed them with the Plaid Embossing Folder and used the Little Bits Christmas Tree, Little Bits Gingerbread Man, Little Bits Candy Cane, and Little Bits Mittens to decorate. Here's what the inside of each tag looks like:
