Merry Christmas and Happy Thanksgiving!

3:08 PM 8 Comments

Hello!  I hope you are having a wonderful hump day : )  I have a couple cards to show you today.  The first one I made yesterday for the Color Challenge on SCS to use Basic Gray, Pretty in Pink, and Sage Shadow.  I decided to go with the non-traditional Christmas card.  I just got this set from Verve called Poinsettia Christmas and it's on sale!  Today may be the last day so go check it out!  I stamped the poinsettias 3 times with Basic Gray and colored them in with Copics.  I added some pearls to the center and some ferns that I punched with the Martha Stewart fern punch.  I used Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge for my layout.  I got it in early this week lol : )

My next card I made for today's Sketch Challenge on SCS, but I've been trying to upload all day and haven't been able to.  Anybody else having trouble???  I finally inked up my PTI Fall Elegance set and I love it!!!  I stamped the pumpkins each seperately, cut them out, and popped them up over 2 pumpkins that I stamped together.  The dp is PTI Autumn Abundance which I love as well!  This card is CAS so it would be easy to duplicate : )  Thank you so much for stopping by, and check back tomorrow to see what the Divine Divas have to inspire you!

Digiments Sneak Peek!

1:10 PM 9 Comments

Saturday is the new release of Digiments!!!  You can get all 30 for $15.00 or $1.00 each with a $5.00 minimum.  I thought I would show you one of the projects I made using one of the Get Well Digiments.  This is a Lauren Meader Timeless Template called Perfect Matchbox.  It's perfect to put a small package of kleenex in, some cough drops, or even chocolate which always makes me feel better : )  I was able to size the Digiment to fit perfectly on this front panel which is what I LOVE about them!!!  I used Tangerine Tango, Very Vanilla, and Basic Grey cs as well as dp from Cosmo Cricket Everafter.  Go check out the Digiment blog to pick up 2 free Digiments, create a project with one or both, and add yourself to Mr. Linky for a chance to win a fabulous prize!   You can also check out more beautiful projects from the rest of the DT!

Next I have a card to show you using yesterday's Sketch Challenge on SCS.  I just got my new PTI goodies in the mail, and couldn't wait to play with the Tree Trimming Trio set and Signature Christmas!  I stamped the tree with Old Olive and the ornaments with Baja Breeze, Real Red, and PTI Summer Sunrise.  I cut out the tree and popped it up over the trunk with Dimensionals, and I also popped up the star and ornaments.  The sentiment was stamped with Chocolate Chip on the bottom of the card.  I used dp from the retired Ski Slope DSP.  That's it for me today!  It has been an incredibly busy week full of dr's appts, play groups, meetings at school, etc. but I think it's finally slowing down a little bit : )  Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by, and I will definitely be blog hopping this afternoon!

First Ever Your Next Stamp Blog Hop!!!

2:00 AM 57 Comments
Hello!  I've been so excited for this hop and to show you some more of these adorable images from Your Next Stamp!!!  Hopefully you came here from Ryann's blog, but if not then start at the beginning which is Karen's blog!  Make sure you leave comments on all the Starlets blogs for a chance to win $50.00 in FREE stamps!!!  I will also be drawing a lucky winner from all the commenters on this blog post who will win their favorite of my 3 cards as well as a couple other goodies : )

First we have Skating Fun Fhiona.  Isn't she the CUTEST!!!  I colored her with Copics and actually used Glossy Accents on the ice although it isn't showing up in the picture.  I also added Diamond Stickles to all the snowflakes and put Dew Drops in the centers of the punched snowflakes.  The paper is PTI Aqua Mist and so is the ribbon.  The dp is from the K&Company Peppermint Twist Mat Pad.  I used Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #35 for my layout.

This next card uses this adorable birdhouse stamp called Little Birdie Christmas House.  I am always so drawn to birdhouses (the country girl in me), and couldn't wait to get this stamp!  I colored with Copics and added Stardust Stickles to the snow.  The paper is Chocolate Chip and Real Red, and I used SU Merry Moments DSP.  The ribbon is PTI Dark Chocolate.  Here is the inside:

The Little Birdie Christmas House set is a two piece set which features the birdhouse and this Happy Holidays sentiment that I used inside the card.  Love it!!!

My final card features this cutie patootie snowman called Freezy the Snowman : )  He is holding his little birdie friend which is just sooo sweet!!!  I applied the snowflakes punched from my EK Success Snowflake Border Punch to the image panel, added Stardust Stickles to them and a small rhinestone center.  The blue panel is embossed with the CB Snowflake Folder.  I used Chocolate Chip, Baja Breeze, and Basic Grey Figgy Pudding paper.
Leave me a comment telling me which card is your favorite for a chance to win!  Thank you so much for stopping by, now head over to Maureen's blog for even more YNS goodness!!!

This is the card that I made for the Featured Stamper Challenge on Splitcoast yesterday.  The featured stamper is Heather, a.k.a. tankgrl.  I absolutely LOVE Heather's clean, creative, awesome style and would love to CASE her entire gallery!!!    I chose this card.

I stayed quite close to Heather's original card, but I used a different stamp set, Real Red instead of Ruby Red, machine sewed instead of faux stitching, and changed the placement of the sentiment slightly.  I just love this spotlighting technique she used, and will definitely use it again!  Thank you so much for stopping by today : )

SC246 Halloween Fhiona

3:04 PM 13 Comments
Hello!  I made this for today's Sketch Challenge on SCS.  I love today's layout!  I really can't seem to stop playing with these adorable Fhionas from Your Next Stamp!  They are so cute and fun to color!  This one is called Happy Halloween Fhiona.  I stamped her with Memento Tuxedo Black, colored her with Copics, cut her out with Square Nestabilities, and while leaving the Nestie in place, I sponged around her with Old Olive ink.  The dp is some I picked up last year at Joanns called the Debbie Mumm Harvest and Holiday Mat Pack.  There are so many fun glittery papers in there : )  I added some Stardust Stickles to the little ghost, as well as to the stars on Fhiona's hat and bows.  I also added some zigzag stitching and the black Kaiser Pearl in the corner.  For the inside I cut a strip of the dp, added the goo border that I punched with a Martha Stewart Punch found at Michaels and added the sentiment and spider also from the Happy Halloween Fhiona set.  I love it!!!  I hope you do too, and thank you so much for stopping by!
One more thing!  We are going to start having Your Next Stamp Challenges in October.  Make sure you stop by the Your Next Stamp Challenge blog to pick up the new blinkie and to read all the deets.  You can win some fabulous prizes!!!  Hugs,

MOJO102, TSG18, Peek-A-Boo!

8:04 PM 17 Comments
Hello again!  My hubby took my 4 y.o. and 21 month old to the store with him, and the house is so peaceful so I thought I would make another card today!  I wanted to make a card for this week's Mojo Monday sketch, and for this week's There She Goes Challenge to create your own dp.  This adorable image is from Whipper Snapper, and I stamped it with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored it with Copics.  I decided to cut it out, stamp the image again and pop the colored one up on foam squares.  I sponged around the image using Ranger Antique Linen Distress Ink while using my Nestabilities as a mask for the outer edge.  I did the same with the rectangle panels.  The little spider is a Hero Arts image, and the bats were punched with a Martha Stewart Punch.  For my "dp" I stamped the the background image from Verve's Wishful Elegance with Pumpkin Pie onto Pumpkin Pie.  I used some corduroy ribbon, and zigzag stitching to complete it!  Thank you so much for stopping by again!

LSC236 CAS Scrapling

12:13 PM 13 Comments
Hello!  I haven't participated in the Limited Supplies Challenge on SCS in a while, but I just love these little scrapling cards which was the challenge today.  A scrapling is a card that measures 1.5"x4".  So fun!  I pulled out this pretty silhouette from Prickley Pear called Spring Flourishes.  I stamped the image with Rich Razzleberry and the sentiment is from Verve's Because of You which I stamped with Soft Suede.  I added the Razzleberry ribbon and the rhinestone and it was complete!  Very CAS of me huh?  Thank you so much for stopping by today, and have a fabulous Labor Day weekend!!!

Adorable Baby Girl

1:03 PM 11 Comments
Hello!  I was asked by one of my friends to make a baby girl card : )  She loves this darling Bella image from Whipper Snapper and I knew exactly what layout I wanted to use with her.  I decided to shamelessly CASE this AWESOME card from Jackie Pedro using this week's Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge sketch.  I just love how Jackie used the large scallops on the bottom, layered the Circle and Blossom Nestabilities, and added the rhinestone accents.  I also loved her use of the Spellbinders Ribbon Tags Trio.  I used dp from DCWV Nana's Nursery because my girlfriend loves sparkle and the stripes in this dp have lots of it!  I used Kaiser Snow Pearl accents, and the scalloped border punch is from Martha Stewart.  Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Exciting News and Other News!

10:40 AM 14 Comments
I got a wonderful surprise today when I stopped by the Your Next Stamp blog! Karen~the owner~wasn't going to post the names of her new DT until Saturday, but she chose to post them early and I made the Your Next Stamp DT!!! I am soooo excited to work with these adorable stamps! Thank you so much, Karen!!! You can see my sidebar for the list of the other fabulous DT members, and make sure to stop by the store to see all the great products Your Next Stamp has available! Karen is even offering 15% off everything in the store this week through Sunday! Just enter the code THANKS to receive the discount!

Onto some other news. I will no longer be a Stampin' Up demonstrator after this month. There is a new policy in place which I think is ridiculous, and I want no part of it. According to the policy, I could not link to other companies such as Your Next Stamp or Digiments from my blog. I could not even link to a card I put on Splitcoast, or to a friend's blog who promotes products for another company. I could not give you a detailed list of what I used to make a card if one of the products I used did not come from Stampin' Up. What I put on my blog is my business, and I won't tolerate SU acting like Big Brother. They lost me and my group of friends who faithfully place monthly orders as a demo and as customers. I hope more people will rebel against this horrible decision. I always used Stampin' Up products on pretty much every card I made. So what if the whole thing wasn't SU! I was still promoting their products. Not any more. Thank you for listening, and I truly hope there are other people who feel the same way. I really want them to regret this poor decision! Hugs,

Kerri
