Welcome to the Your Next Stamp January New Release BLOG HOP!

We've got some fabulous new YNS stamps to showcase today! These new stamps are available to buy right now from the Your Next Stamp store along with all your YNS favourites. We also have two wonderful guests joining us for our hop - the amazing Angela Wood and Jen Del Muro.

If you would like to participate in the hop and you didn't arrive here from Jen's blog, please CLICK HERE to return to the start of the hop at Wendy's blog, as you don't want to miss these fab new releases!

The hop starts today (07 January 2011 at 03:00 EST) and ends on 10 January 2011 at midnight EST.

As always here at Your Next Stamp, we have a wonderful prize for you to win! One lucky winner will be drawn at random from the linky list to win these fab images from Heather's Chocolate Lover Collection!  Oh I wish I could win!!!

You will see that every stop along the hop has a linky list - this is the SAME linky list posted on every blog, so that you can enter the prize draw from any stop (although we hope you will visit all the blogs on today's hop!). The linky will update itself on everyone's blog when a link is entered - how cool is that? Please remember to only enter your name ONCE into the linky list during the hop - you do NOT need to enter your name at every stop and multiple entries will be removed. It's not a requirement for you to comment at every stop along the hop to be eligible to be entered into the prize draw, but the DT would sure love to hear what you think of their new release creations!

Karen is also running some special promotions, so be sure to hop on over to the YNS store once you've finished the hop. There is a fab clearance section, where you can grab a bargain or two, and Karen has also put together some special-priced bundles!!

So onto my blog hop creation:

When I saw this adorable IPod Teen Girl, I had to have her!!!  How perfect for giving iTunes gift cards, etc.!  So that is what I made today~a gift card holder.

These are so easy to make.  Just take a piece of 4 1/4" x 11" paper and score the long way at 3", 5 1/2", and 8".  Fold and glue the center together around the edges, leaving a pocket for your gift card.  Then punch the fold for your gift card to slip into.  I used the SU Word Window Punch and 1 1/4" Circle Punch for mine.  Check out THIS TUTORIAL.  Here's a peek at the inside:

I also used the YNS set Elegant Greetings for my sentiment and the dp is My Mind's Eye Fine and Dandy Tickled Pink.  To tie my gift card closed I used some GORGEOUS May Arts Sheer Ruffle Edge White Ribbon which you can find HERE at Really Reasonable Ribbon.  I really love how this came out!
Here is a complete blog hop list in hopping order:

So now it's time for you to hop on over to Maureen's blog as she is the next stop on our hop, but I'd love it if you left me a comment before you go!

Thanks so much for hopping with us today! I hope you enjoy our new release!

3:00 AM 10 Comments

Hello!  I have a few final projects to show you that I made this holiday season:)  These are some Gable Boxes that I made for a cookie exchange party I attended.  I made four of these darling boxes using the Able Gable Template from Perfect Presentation as well as this super cute image from Your Next Stamp called Ellie Loves To Bake.  I cut each of the boxes out of some DCWV Printed Cardstock from The Homemade Christmas Stack that I found at Joanns.  The ribbon on this box is some gorgeous May Arts Satin With Grosgrain Moss from Really Reasonable Ribbon and I also used some Cherry Baker's Twine to tie my tag to my bow.

I won a prize for best display!  I made three little gifts using the Perfect Presentation Squared Template and I also made a sleigh using the Perfect Presentation Template Winter Sleigh.  I cut the gifts out of the DCWV The Homemade Christmas Stack printed cs once again.  Everyone just loved it!!!  Here I am with the other winners:

Can you tell they are sisters? LOL!

Finally I have a few Christmas tags.  I used the PTI sets Holiday Button Bits, Wreath For All Seasons, and Signature Christmas.  The dp is Echo Park Paper Co. Everybody Loves Christmas.  Love that line!

Love Birds

2:00 AM 10 Comments

Hello!  I want to apologize for being a horrible blogger this week!  My little 3 y.o. has been really sick with a fever and not sleeping well, therefore, the rest of the house has not been sleeping well.  Turns out he has Strep Throat so he is now on antibiotics and doing better:)  I'm just praying the rest of the house doesn't come down with it!  I really want to have a healthy Christmas break!

I thought it would be fun to create a sweet little Valentine for today.  I just adore these images from the My Cute Stamps set Elegant Birds.  I decided to use both birds from this set and make them look like little love birds:)  The dp is PTI Simple Valentine and I used some fabulous Cotton Candy Baker's Twine from Really Reasonable Ribbon to hang the cage and to tie my tag to my button.  This GORGEOUS show stopper sheer ribbon is some Sheer White Organza w/ Satin Edge and Silver Accents.  Don't you just LOVE IT!!!  It's super inexpensive and oh so BEAUTIFUL!!!  I used Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge #104 for my layout.

I hope you have a wonderful Saturday!  I'm going to try to finish up my Christmas cards and get them sent out (yes I am waaaay behind with everything this year!)  Thank you so much for stopping by!
