Color Throwdown #180~Easter Blessings

Hello!  It's time for another Color Throwdown and this week the awesome Lori Tecler is our hostess!  I just love the color combo she chose, but I have to say, I'm a little embarrassed to share my project :(

I don't know if it's the horrible picture, or the fact that the tag looks way too small for the carrot, or what, but I am not happy with the way this came out.

I've been a little obsessed lately and maybe my fellow paper crafters can relate.  One of my very best friends is pregnant, and I am hosting a baby shower for her~YAY!  Now grant it, the shower won't be until late June, and she won't even know the sex of the baby for another month, but I came up with a theme that I am sooooo excited about!  I am going to do a Grown With Love theme and go with the whole rustic garden idea.  I have SO MANY IDEAS in my head, and I can't stop thinking about it.  Do any of you get this way???  I can't even really get started until I know whether to go with the blues and greens, or the pinks, etc. but I have been making lists upon lists, and searching the stores for garden type decor.

Anywho, onto my carrot.  I was looking for a carrot box template thinking it would be a fun favor idea, and came across this one in the Silhouette Online Store by Lori Witlock.  I really love the box, but I have issues with the amount of tic marks, plus I definitely need to come up with a better way to dress it up.  I ran out of time tonight, but I will try again another day.  Trust me~I'm obsessed LOL!

Make sure you check out the Color Throwdown Blog for some much better inspiration this week and to play along!  Thank you so much for stopping by and have a wonderful Wednesday!

Think you carrot is perfect and so is the tag. What a cute theme for a baby shower! I do the same thing! My niece is due in June and doesn't want to know the baby's sex and it's killing me! I'll just have to keep saving ideas until it arrives :) Good luck!

That's a darling carrot box!! I understand totally about obsessing about the party! I think I should be able to do everything for every occasion...by hand...without a hitch. Of course, that doesn't happen! Good luck with the party!

Your carrot is just toooo cute, Kerri, and I think the tag is just perfect!!!! Your baby shower ideas sound wonderful...how fun and clever to have a garden theme instead of the usually baby stuff. Your friend is going to love all your ideas and your carrot box!!!
