A girlfriend of mine recently asked if I could make her some gift card holders, so I've been working on those the last couple of days. I thought I would attempt a tutorial so you could make some too if you like them : )
1)Start with a 4 1/4 x 11 piece of cs. Score the cs at 3", 5 1/2", and 8"
Fold the cardstock so it looks like this:
Now glue or use sticky strip the edges of this center fold. DO NOT glue the center where the actual fold is, because you will be opening that up to fit the gift card in. See below:
This is what it will look like when you stick it together:
Now you want to use your Word Window Punch and 1 1/4" Circle punch to make a slot for your gift card. You will be punching the piece that is sticking out of the center. Come in a little from each edge and punch a little bit off with the Window Punch. See below:
Then use your Circle Punch for the center.
This is what it will look like:
Now you will add some ribbon to the front of the card. Make sure you have enough so that you can wrap it around and tie it shut.
Decorate the front and inside as desired!
Here are a couple more that I made:
This is my card for Fun-Frilled this week. Please see Fun-Frilled for all the details : )
Finally, this is the card I made for today's Sketch Challenge on SCS : )
Whew! Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Very pretty gift card holders.
WHOA!!! These are really really cool – pretty, and functional. Can’t say I’ll try it – but what a wonderful way to add handmade to giving a gift card!
