A Couple of Verve Projects!

10:21 PM 16 Comments

Hello!  I hope you are having a wonderful weekend so far:)  I'm really excited because for Christmas my hubby gave me the new Canon Rebel T2i camera, and a REALLY nice professional lens.  I've been playing around with it, but don't really know how to use it, so, I signed up for the Oh Shoot Class on the Jessica Sprague site HERE.  I'm so excited AND my hubby let me order a new 50mm lens today, since she recommends having one of those, and several friends have told us how wonderful it is for portraits and low light:)  I'm soooooo EXCITED!!!  You will probably be seeing a lot more photos on my blog in the weeks ahead...

Ok, onto my cards:)  For my first card, a friend of mine asked if I could make a sympathy card for her, so I pulled out my trusty Verve set Forever in Our Hearts.  I just love the sentiments in this set.  I really wanted to stamp some pretty flowers for the larger panel, but nothing would look quite the way I wanted to, so I decided to use some pretty dp instead:)  This is Basic Grey Sultry and I just think it's so pretty.  The base of the card is SU Pink Pirouette, and the ribbon is PTI Simply Chartreuse.

My next card is the card I had posted on the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog today.  I had a short tutoral on how I made my bow using this GORGEOUS Sheer Ruffle Edge White Ribbon by May Arts, along with some fabulous Cotton Candy Baker's Twine.  I used the Verve set Kind Words and some Echo Park Paper Co. Be Mine dp (yes, I finally broke down and bought some LOL:)

Thank you so much for stopping by and for all of your kind comments!  I know I have been a little busy lately.  I have been putting in a lot of time at the gym and my daughter's gymnastics and soccer keeps us really busy as well.  Not to mention my incredibly active 3 y.o.!  He is ALL BOY LOL!  My 8 y.o. special needs son is the easiest of the bunch:)  Have a great Sunday!

Hello!  I hope you all had a wonderful 3 day weekend!  My hubby and I had a lot of fun at Daytona, even though Jeff Gordon got knocked out of the race early :(  I didn't have even a moment of stamping time this weekend, so I'm anxious to sit at my desk and get crafty!

This week Your Next Stamp is sponsoring the Etsy Inspired Challenge, and the shop this week is Claylicious.  I chose this blue and green bowl as my inspiration:

Isn't it pretty?!

For my card I used this adorable image called Pico the Porcupine along with the sentiment set Elegant Greetings.  The dp is Echo Park Paper Co. Sweet Summertime.

YNS is giving one lucky player a $10 gift voucher to the YNS store, so it's definitely worth playing for!

I'll be back tomorrow with another fab PaperWorks Co creation using the February PaperCard Kit!  Thank you so much for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

A Little Gingham and A Little Twine

2:00 AM 12 Comments

Hello and happy Saturday!  I have a couple of baby boy cards to share with you that I have posted on the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog today:)  For my first card I used this adorable image from the SU set Cute & Cuddly, along with some retired SU Sweet Slumber Specialty dp and some FABULOUS Brown Sugar Baker's Twine.  Bonnie has a lot of new colors of Baker's Twine in the store, so make sure you check it out!  The layout is Jen's February Sketch For You To Try

My next card is pretty simple.  I used this sweet image from Great Impressions called Pull Toys along with some Medium Blue Gingham Ribbon from the Really Reasonable Ribbon Store. The sentiment comes from the SU set Short & Sweet.

My mom is coming into town today, and she will be staying with the kids tomorrow while my hubby and I go to Daytona for the Daytona 500!  I'm so excited!!!  We've lived in Florida for almost 7 years, and I have never been to the Daytona 500.  I've been to the Daytona race in July a couple of times though:)

I hope you have a wonderful 3 day weekend!  Thank you so much for stopping by today!

Tiger Birthday Tag

11:20 AM 9 Comments

Hello!  I was really bad yesterday, and never posted this tag that I made with the PaperWorks Co. February PaperCard Kit this week!  My excuse is that this time of year is like our summertime here in Florida.  We are having the most perfect weather, and I like to take advantage before it gets too HOT and HUMID!  I hardly go outside during the summer months here, unless we are going to the pool or the beach:)

For my tag, I used this adorable little tiger from the Jungle Jesters Collection called Timothy the Tiger.  The cardstock, dp, button, and ribbon all come from the PaperCard Kit!  I also used a sentiment from the Verve set Big Wish, and the tag was cut with a PTI Tag Die.

That's it for me today.  Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful Thursday!

Hello!  I meant to get this card posted much earlier today, but I just haven't had the chance!  This is the card that I have on the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog today.  I needed to make a baby girl card this week, and this is what I came up with. There is a lot going on, which is not my normal style, so I'm not sure how I feel about it LOL! I do, however, LOVE the ribbon that I used:)  Doesn't this White Crocheted Lace, Pink Glitter Ric Rac, and Pink Corsage Ribbon look great together!  So pretty and girly!!!  This adorable image is called Sweet Dreams from Belles 'n Whistles and I added some distressing, the doily, and the lace to qualify for the current Belles 'n Whistles Challenge which is Vintage.  I also used some gorgeous flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and the dp is Basic Grey Bittersweet.
