PaperWorks Co. Anything But A Card Sunday and Dare To Get Dirty!

12:07 PM 10 Comments
Hello!  Since it's the last day of July (where has the summer gone???) this is my last Sunday to post for Anything But A Card Sunday on the PaperWorks Co. Blog.  Today I have a project that I also combined with two of the Dare To Get Dirty Challenges going on on Splitcoaststampers:)

I used this darling Rachelle Anne Miller image called A Magical Christmas.  I paired her with some Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses dp and the little bag is a template from Perfect Presentation called Bag It Up!  The little tag is from the PTI set Tiny Tags with the coordinating dies and the snowflakes were punched with Martha Stewart Snowflake Punches.  I also have a couple more Dare To Get Dirty Challenge projects to share with you:

I used this super cute image from Your Next Stamp called Ellie Loves Gardening.  The dp is Cosmo Cricket Garden Variety, and the sentiment comes from the PTI set Blooming Button Bits.  The picket fence is a Martha Stewart punch and the sun is a MFT Die-namics Die.

My final card uses this precious image from the PTI set Bundle of Love.  I used some October Afternoon Thrift Shop dp and stamped the bg with the PTI set Background Basics: Newsprint.  The little tag comes from the PTI set Tiny Tags with coordinating dies and the cloud is a PTI die.  I embossed the oval frame with the CB Seeing Spots embossing folder and sponged with some PTI Fresh Snow.

We hope you'll come play along with the Dirty Girls on SCS.  I always look forward to DTGD every summer~it's so much fun!  Thank you so much for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

Thinking of You

12:00 PM 9 Comments

Hello!  I made this yesterday for Sketch Challenge#343 on Splitcoaststampers.  I needed a card for a friend who recently lost somebody special to her.  Hopefully this will cheer her up a little bit:)  The butterfly is from the PTI set Butterfly Dreams, and I used the coordinating PTI Butterfly die.  The dp is Fancy Pants Designs Beach Babe, and the sentiment comes from the PTI set Through the Trees.

Well, I found out yesterday that I'm going to have to have Thyroid surgery:(  A few months ago I developed a very large nodule on the right side of my thyroid.  I finally had it biopsied last Friday, and although it's not lymphoma (yay!) they said it's still concerning and they recommend having the right side of my thyroid removed.  I'm a little nervous because I've never had surgery before, plus I'm not looking forward to the beautiful scar on my neck.  This bulge I have isn't looking very hot either though.  If anybody has any tips or has been through this, I'd love to hear from you!

That's it for me today.  I'm off to take my youngest to the doctor for a shot (fun) and my daughter to the dentist.  Have a wonderful Thursday and thank you so much for stopping by!

For my project today I had to use this adorable new set called It's A Trainset!

So FUN!  This set comes with TEN different cars to give you lots of options for customizing your train!  I chose the Conductor's Car, the WorkHorse Car, and the Dining Car for my card today.  I also printed out a cake from the Amber Ink set Hostess with the Mostess which turned this into a perfect birthday card:)  The sentiment was computer generated.

After I printed out my trainset, I colored it with Copics, and cut out each piece.  I cut some hills out of My Mind's Eye Lime Twist Out of the Blue dp (thanks to a svg file that my friend Leigh Ann gave me~Thanks Girl!!!) and the cloudy sky is My Mind's Eye Lime Twist Fly A Kite dp.

PaperWorks Co. Sketch, A Freebie, and New Release *Hint*

11:00 AM 2 Comments

Hello!  I wanted to share a card I made for this week's PaperWorks Co. Sketch.  To play along with the challenges, you need to use at least one PWCO image on your projects, so Peggy has created a FREEBIE Digital Frame that you can use.  Just go HERE and save the image to your computer:)  This is what I made with the frame:

Now you don't have any excuses not to play along!  For my card I used some dp from the Making Memories Wedding paper pad, some satin ribbon, and a sentiment from the PTI set Big & Bold Wishes.  This is also a hint as to what the new PWCO release will be all about!  I'm so excited and the new images are so sweet!

Go snatch up the frame, and we can't wait to see your projects!  Thanks for stopping by:)
