Your Next Stamp Challenge #50~Song Inspired!

3:00 AM 14 Comments

Oh the weather outside is frightful LOL!   Yes it is frightful~frightfully HOT!  The new challenge at Your Next Stamp is to create something that is inspired by a song.  I was in the mood to create a Christmas card, so I pulled out one of my very favorite YNS images~Tobogganing Ellie.  Isn't she the cutest?!  The dp is Echo Park Paper Co. Wintertime.  I colored Ellie with some Copics and sponged around her with PTI Aqua Mist.  The sentiment is computer generated.

The prize up for grabs for this challenge is this adorable set:

Boris From Russia!  We hope you'll play along with us, and we can't wait to hear what songs inspire you!

That's it for me today!  My mom is coming down for a visit this afternoon so I need to do a little cleaning!  Thank you so much for stopping by and have a terrific Wednesday!

MFT Wednesday Stamp Club #34

7:14 PM 9 Comments

Hello again!  I colored this cutie from the Pure Innocence set Being Cute is What I Do on Saturday at the Colleen Schaan workshop and thought I would add her to a card for this week's MFT Wednesday Stamp Club #34.  Her colors went perfectly with this My Mind's Eye Lime Twist Happy Go Lucky dp.  I used the File Tab Die-namics Die for the sentiment which is from the same set, and added some flowers that I cut with the Die-namics Pretty Posies Dies.

Time to go eat some dinner!  Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful evening.  I'm looking forward to Bachelor Pad and HGTV's Design Star:)

PaperWorks Co. PaperCard Kit Monday

11:00 AM 6 Comments

Hello!  This is my final post this month for PaperWorks Co. PaperCard Kit Monday!  If you haven't ordered the kit, you only have a couple days left to do so!  This week I used this darling image from Rachelle Anne Miller called Some Bunny Loves You.  The cs, dp, ribbon, and pearls all come in The Kit.  I embossed the pink panel with the CB Seeing Spots Embossing Folder, and the pretty border was cut with my new MFT Die-namics Faux Crochet Border that I picked up this weekend at the My Favorite Things Boutique Grand Opening!

On Saturday I attended a Copic class by the amazing and fun Colleen Schaan at the new MFT Boutique!  Guess who was in my class?

Carole Burrage!!!  I was so excited to meet her and she is such a sweet, friendly, and fun person!  I had a blast and left with some really good coloring tips:)  Well that's it for me today.  I'm ALMOST done with those baby shower invitations I've been working on.  My goal is to finish today!  Thank you so much for stopping by and have a great Monday!

A Couple More School Pics

10:57 AM 12 Comments
Hello!  Well since I shared pictures of my two older kiddos on their first day of school, I have to share a picture of Carson yesterday.  He is going to school for the first time this year~two days a week.  I wasn't sure how he was going to handle it, but when we walked into the classroom, he immediately ran over and started playing trains with another little boy.  I could barely get him to look at me for a picture and when he did look at me, this is what I got LOL:

He gave me a quick hug goodbye and went back to playing.  Ok, so that was easy.  When I went to pick him up I asked if he had fun and he said YEAH!  Since I walked him to his class, I ran down and took a quick picture of my daughter at her desk.

She's getting to be such a big girl!  Ok, well I promise that's it for school pictures:)  My friend ended up loving the baby shower invitation I made, so I'm going to be busy working on those for the next few days.  Thank you so much for stopping by and have a great Wednesday!

Well, my kids started school today and I thought I'd share a couple of pics that I took this morning.

Avery's holding up a 1 because it's her first day of first grade:)

Baby Shower Invites

12:43 AM 10 Comments

Hello!  A friend of mine asked if I might be able to make some baby shower invites.  She showed me a picture of a printed invitation that her and the mother to be were drawn to and this was my interpretation:)  I used the colors they really seemed to love as well as the little birdie theme.  The inside will say a shower for such and such and her "tweet" baby girl.  So cute!

I used a couple of images from the My Cute Stamps set Elegant Birds and a sentiment from the Verve set To the Moon.  I cut the shape of the onesie with my PTI Onesie Die~LOVE! and the dp is from the Making Memories Wedding Collection.  The flower was made with my MFT Die-namics Mini Rolled Roses.  I hope they like it!

Fall Inspired and Playing With Sketches

12:37 PM 10 Comments
This month's Papertrey Ink release really got me inspired to make some fall themed cards!  I pulled out a couple of older PTI sets and got busy creating.  Here's what I came up with:

I made this using the set First Fruits and the sentiment comes from the set Fall Elegance.  I used some dp from the First Fruits Collection and the layout is Chupa's Sketchbook Saturday Challenge #24.

For this card I used the set Wreath For All Seasons, along with Fall Elegance for the sentiment and leaves.  The dp is Autumn Abundance.  I used the Woodgrain Impression Plate to emboss the base and the layout is Card Patterns Sketch #128.

Finally, I made this for this week's Sketch Challenge #346 on Splitcoaststampers.  I used this cutie from Your Next Stamp called Shopper Fhiona along with the YNS set A Good Friend.  The dp is some super fun Echo Park Paper Co. Happy Days and I used my MFT Die-namics Upsey Daisies Dies and PTI Pure Poppy felt to make the flower.  I finished the inside very simply:

I know this is a long post but I have one more bit of info to share.  Stop by the Your Next Stamp Blog for something new and fun that will happen on the 18th of each month starting TODAY!  I know you're intrigued so go check it out!  Here's a hint:

Hello and happy Monday!  I hope you had a wonderful weekend.  My booty is a little sore from sitting at my daughter's gymnastics so long this weekend, but it was so fun to watch!  Yesterday morning they had some judges come in to watch their compulsory routines, and Avery did an amazing job!  I was so proud of her!

So this month I will be posting on Mondays on the PaperWorks Co. Blog for PaperCard Kit Mondays!  This month's kit is all about the Basic Grey Out of Print Collection.  Peggy has included several pieces of coordinating cardstock, ribbon, buttons, and brads, so you have lots of supplies to make several cards with this kit.  Here's what I came up with this week:

Well I have got to get cracking on my Dirty Dozen projects for this month, so I'm heading to my stamping table!  Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you have a fantastic day!

MFT Guest Designer Contest and Another DTGD Card!

2:59 PM 15 Comments
Hello!  Since I have been putting in quite a few orders with My Favorite Things lately (especially for the Die-namics) I thought I would throw my hat in the ring for the August Guest Designer Contest:)  Jody and Joanne asked us to Embellish Ourselves!  Fun right?  This is what I came up with:

I made a cute little birthday pin for a little girl's tea party, along with a coordinating hairbow!  I used this darling image from the MFT set Tea For Two, along with a doily cut with my Decorative Doily Duo Die-namics and a felt rose cut with my Mini Rolled Roses Die-namics.  I also added a rose to the center of my hairbow and I think it looks so pretty!  The teacup was paper pieced with some Fancy Pants Designs Beach Babe dp and I colored the mouse with Copics.

Here is a card I made yesterday for some of the Dare To Get Dirty Challenges:

I combined 3 challenges for this card:)  I hope you'll join us and play along because they are so much fun!  This cutie is a digi from Tiddly Inks called Awww Thanks!  I paired her with some Fancy Pants Designs Beach Babe dp and made some more roses using my MFT Die-namics Rolled Roses Dies.

That's it for me today.  Thank you so much for stopping by and enjoy the rest of your Monday.  We get to see who the Bachelorette picks tonight!!!
