Color Throwdown #168~Ornamental Christmas

2:00 AM 17 Comments

Hello!  It's time for another Color Throwdown Challenge, and the fabulous Keva is our hostess this week.  I really love this color combo!  Here is my card:

I used this gorgeous ornament from the Verve set Ornamental Christmas along with a mix of My Mind's Eye Lost & Found dp~Union Square and Sunshine.  I stamped my ornament with SU Basic Gray and colored with Copics.  I then added some small rhinestones to the snowflakes.  I cut the image out with Circle Nestabilities and layered on top of a doily cut with my MFT Decorative Doily Duo Die-namics.  The gray shape was cut with Nestabilities Labels Sixteen.  I followed the Viva La Verve November Week 2 Sketch for my layout.

We hope you'll join us this week!  Just link your card to the Color Throwdown Blog HERE!

Thank you so much for stopping by and have a wonderful Wednesday!

Wish and Tickled Pink Stamps Guest DT Call

5:38 PM 5 Comments

Hello!  How is the start of your week going so far?  I'm trying to get back into going to the gym since summer and my surgery.  WHOA, it's amazing how fast we fall out of shape, and I can tell I am going to be SORE tomorrow (and the next day, and the day after that...).

Anyway, I was super excited when I saw on the Tickled Pink Stamps Blog that they are having a Guest DT call, because being a Pink Lady is one of my dream gigs!!!  I had just finished this card for a friend of mine who wanted a cute and sassy birthday card for her teenage daughter.  Since I adore Lil' Lolita images, I immediately thought of this adorable gal~Lil' Fashionette 60's Ivy~don't you just love her?!  I paired her with some My Mind's Eye Lime Twist Happy Go Lucky dp and a sentiment from the PTI set Tiny Tags.

Here is another one of my favorite cards using these images:

Isn't Witch Lylah the sassiest witch ever?!?  LOVE!  Well, wish me luck!!!  I REALLY want to work with these awesome images!!!

Aren't these Christmas houses just so cute?! I stamped the images onto Kraft cs with Memento Rich Cocoa Ink. I colored just a few areas with Copics and added some Stickles to the ice and snow. The sentiment comes with this set, and the snow drifts were made with PTI dies.

Wanna peek at the new Happy Holidays Die Set?

Isn't it FABULOUS?!  Here's what I came up with using the new dies and coordinating stamps:

For my first card, I used the darling Tree Die and Stamp that come with this set.  I also used the Sentiment Block that comes with this set, but I taped off the parts I didn't want to ink, inked up "Joyful", removed the tape, and stamped the "Joyful" sentiment.  This is a great way to get more options out of your stamps!  The dp I used is Echo Park Paper Co. Holly Jolly Christmas.  Such a simple card, but I really love it!

For my next card I used the Stocking Stamps and Die.  I just think these stockings are so cute!  I colored them up to match my Echo Park Paper Co. Season's Greetings dp.  I added some texture to the cream bg with the CB Seeing Spots Embossing Folder and added a few sprigs of greenery with a Martha Stewart punch.  The sentiment is from Stampin' Up.

Don't forget to blog hop and leave comments for your chance to win this fabulous prize!  I'll be back tomorrow with some more YNS goodies!

Your Next Stamp Challenge #53~Halloween!

10:06 AM 3 Comments
ACK!  I didn't think I was going to be able to post this today because my house is in DEMO mode!  We decided to get hardwood floors in our living room, office, and hallway because our carpet was pretty much destroyed.  We thought they were going to lay the floor on Monday, so we moved everything out of those rooms including our computer, thinking we we have everything back in place by now.  Well, the guys weren't able to do the job Monday, and then yesterday they pulled up the carpet to find problems with our subfloor.  They then had to pour concrete to level everything out, and now can't lay the floors until tomorrow and Friday~YIKES!  I'm having a big birthday party for my daughter here on Saturday, and I don't even know if my house is going to be put together!  Can you say STRESSFUL!!!

Thanks to my wonderful husband, he spliced some wires and was able to put the computer together for me in our bedroom, so here is my card for this week's YNS Challenge using the super adorable Cute Witch Ellie and Her Kitty.  I paired her with some Echo Park Paper Co.
