Taylored Expressions December Sneak Peeks: Petite-a-Palooza Day 2!

10:00 AM 1 Comments

Hello!  I'm back with Day 2 of sneak peeks from Taylored Expressions!  All of the new petite sets will be available tomorrow!

For my first card today, I've used the ADORABLE new set-Watson.  I stamped Watson and the flower with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored them with Copics.  I cut them out with the coordinating dies and popped them up with foam tape.  The dp is Simple Stories 24/Seven.  Here's a close up:

Next up I have a card using the new set Dig In! Our neighborhood is still being built, so we see these every day around here:) My son just loves all the big machines!

I stamped the earth mover (is that what it's called?) with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored with Copics. I cut it out with the coordinating die and placed it over a mountain of dirt that I cut with a TE Build A Scene Mountain Tops Die. I sponged the sky using the TE Cloud Border Die and used Simple Stories 24/Seven dp once again.

Here are my supplies:

Hello!  Are you ready for some fabulous sneak peeks from Taylored Expressions?  It's time for Petite-a-Palooza and Taylor is releasing 14 Petite sets and they all come with coordinating dies~so fun!

My first card features the new set On a Roll.  I just love this set!  I spent my childhood on roller skates around the neighborhood or at the roller rink:)  I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored with Copics.  I cut the image out with with the coordinating die.  I added some stars and some sparkle and stamped the sentiment onto a Banner Stacklets 1 Die.  The dp is Echo Park Paper Co. Beautiful Life.

Next up I have a card using the fabulous new set Light Up My Life:

I used both the stamps and dies that come with this set to create my various lamps.  I drew a light pencil line and used my Stamp-a-majig to line up my lamps and sentiment.  I added the border using the TE Open Scallop Border Die and used Echo Park Paper Co. Beautiful Life dp once again.  I just love how it came out!

Make sure you check out the rest of the Baker's Dozen for more sneak peeks today!  I'll be back tomorrow with a couple more projects:)  Have a terrific Tuesday!

    Taylored Expressions Damask Flourishes

    10:28 AM 1 Comments

Hello!  How was your Thanksgiving?  Ours was really nice.  My family came down earlier in the week and we celebrated Carson's 6th birthday, then cooked Thanksgiving dinner on Thursday.  We got some shopping done on Friday, and got Christmas decorations out yesterday.  I've also been working a lot at Home Goods so I feel extra busy these days:)  I have made time to get in my stamp room and have been working on projects for the Taylored Expressions release!  Sneak peeks begin on Tuesday!

Today I have a card to share using the beautiful Damask Flourishes Die Set.  I really wanted to try the inlay technique (I think that's what it's called) when you cut the shape out of a panel like I did with the gray dp, then I cut the flourishes out of black cs and fit them into the negative space like a puzzle piece.  It makes the panel smooth and looks really cool like a wood inlay.  I used the Label Stacklets 4 Dies to cut out my center panel, then simply added the bow and a cute charm that I cut with a Key to my Heart Die.  The dp I used is My Mind's Eye Cupid's Arrow

Thanks for stopping by today!  I'll be back with my first two Petite-a-Palooza projects on Tuesday!  You won't want to miss out on these adorable stamp sets and they all come with coordinating dies-LOVE!!!  Have a wonderful Sunday:)

I have 3 projects to share with you today because I just couldn't stop playing:)

First up is a treat box I made using the new Takeout Box Die!  This die set is AWESOME!!!  It comes with sooooo many dies so that you can add the decorative layers, words, tag, as well as shapes for window cutouts, etc!  So many options!

I chose to use the scallop circle and added the "treat" word on top.  I cut out the hearts from this set and popped them up in the corners.  I also used the layering dies to cut the dp for the sides of my box.  Finally, I used the darling tag die for the top of my box and added the "xoxo".  Here's another angle:

Love it!  Next I have a card using a gorgeous new image named Winter from the Darling Diva Collection:

Isn't she beautiful!  I paired her with some My Mind's Eye Winter Wonderland dp and embossed the sentiment from the YNS set Warm Winter Wishes.

Last but not least I have a card set that I made using the new clear stamp set Noteworthy!

These images are so fun and I love the coordinating sentiments:)  I used the YNS Fishtail/Banner Dies to cut my sentiment panels.

As always, Karen is offering a fabulous hop discount! You will receive 15% off your entire order through November 27th!

Taylored Expressions Stamp of the Month: In the Garden

    10:00 AM 0 Comments

Hello!  I have another card to share with you today using the Taylored Expressions November Stamp of the Month- In the Garden.  I just LOVE this stamp set and today I decided to use the fun paper lantern image.

I stamped the image once, then masked the lanterns and stamped it again.  I cut it out with a Label Stacklets 1 Die.  The sentiment was stamped onto an oval that I cut with a die from the Band-It Die Set.  The dp is some My Mind's Eye My Girl, and I used the Deconstructed Sketch #127 for my layout.  Here is my supply list:

That's it for me today.  I'm about to head off to my first day of work!  I got a part time job at Home Goods-one of my favorite stores:)  Wish me luck and have a fabulous Monday!

Taylored Expressions November Stamp of the Month Blog Hop!

    10:00 AM 12 Comments

Hello!  It's time for the Taylored Expressions Stamp of the Month and Key Ingredients Blog Hop!  I LOVE this month's stamp set-In the Garden.  It's full of mason jars, flowers, and paper lanterns-fabulous!  It coordinates with this month's Key Ingredients Kit which features paper from Fancy Pants Happy Go Lucky.  You can also purchase the coordinating Patio Party Dies!

For my card, I stamped the hanging wire images and then used my Stamp-a-ma-jig to line up the mason jars. I used Copics to color my images and sponged around the panel with Ranger Antique Linen Distress Ink.  I stamped three of the flowers and cut them out with the coordinating Patio Party Dies.  I popped them up with foam tape over the jars.  The fishtail panel was cut with a Banner Stacklets 1 Die, and I also stamped my sentiment onto a Designer Mini Tag Die.  I used ribbon from the Key Ingredients Kit and then tied my tag onto the ribbon.  A very sweet and simple card!

    Your Next Stamp Fun Friday

    12:00 AM 1 Comments
Hello!  It's time for Fun Friday at Your Next Stamp!  This is my first time playing with the new challenge this month, and I decided to use both the November inspiration picture and the November sketch!

Here's what I came up with:

I pulled out one of my favorite YNS images-Apple Cutie!  I stamped her with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored her with Copics.   I cut a tree out using the YNS Tree Trio Die Set and cut the maple leaf with a die from the YNS Whatnots Seasons Set One Die Set.  I stamped the sentiment from Springtime Scene onto a Fishtail/Banner Die.  I added a button, some twine, and a little stitching and called it complete!  The dp is Doodlebug Happy Harvest.

Make sure you check out the YNS Challenge Blog to see more Fun Friday projects from the DT and to play along!  Thanks for stopping by and have a fabulous Friday and a wonderful weekend!
